Pro tip for free roam: Snipers have perfect accuracy on horseback while hipfiring. Also, hipfiring on foot and pressing the aim button right before shooting will do the same thing while not requiring you to use the scope.
I free aimed pretty mush the entire story and beta so now i hit like almost 95% of my shots

Fights in valentine often end either in the hills behind the general store or the hills in front of the Mail place. Thats usually when I pullout my rolling block.
I don’t use either of the sniper rifles. I prefer to rush instead. I do use my bolt to snipe if people are out of range though. I feel sluggish with my free aim on it so if I can get up within bolt or even sawed off range I don’t bother going to my scope.
Lmao you need to practice your timing dude. The sawed offs are beasts if you get your timing down. When you shoot your shotgun you’re aiming. Hip fire is a different animal and you need to practice from the hip if you want to get it right.
Paint it black with sniper rifles would be the final nail in the coffin about this game for me. As a free aimer it's already hard to play against lower skilled players who think they "free aim" with the paint it black not to mention the combo with explosive rounds… The whole fun about using sniper rifles is the trigger decipline, meaning when exactly to press the fire button and all which makes it so rewarding. If anything I think they should reduce the range that you can paint targets with… specifically the springfield/bolt action and the dynamite arrows.
To be honest I'm just switching between GTA and rdr2 often

I would almost swear that early in the beta, paint did work through scopes. But I could be mistaken. As for using a sniper in these matches… Good on you man. Easy is boring. A good break from the norm of auto lock domination. As for the sawed off, they suffer from crazy muzzle climb. Paired and rapid fired, they muzzle climb like the semi auto. They shouldn't. It's 2 separate guns so should only climb with the second shot of the each gun.
I was about to get a sniping gun .I just got level 50 for the cocaine rifle but not sure if I should get block action instead..?

Nice video hazard. I use carcano riffle I’m free roam for hunting, gang hideouts and those annoying griefers that pop up from time to time. I’m ok not the best but I practice to hit moving targets on deers and other fast moving animals which is damn hard at times.
Springfield and carrcano mostly on free roam or i switch the carr for a shotgun

Sniping in free roam is overpowered, I don’t use it in showdown. If you use it in free roam, no one can get you at range.

I suck at sniping in general but i got a really good one yesterday in bolger with my bolt action scope. I was shocked lol
Havent bought the carcano since i suck at sniping but ill eventually get it and the few others i dont have.
You can change 1st person aim sensitivity and adjust sighting to your preference, slower, faster, etc… Too bad the game disconnects every 5 minutes.
