One X has something very important to me that Series S doesn't. Disc drive. If I want to play games in 60fps, or even more I've already got a PC
I think that for a lot of games the downgrade is aimed at the regular Xbox One, and there is no specific One X optimization.
Seeing multiple videos of Xbox lately. Atleast FGC titles should've released on previous gen I mean look at Street Fighter 6 being released on PS4
İ perfer series s cause new games
I think the Xbox series S will go down as a classic. Great looking games, quick resume, fast load times, silent running, cheap, and a gorgeous design.
Xbox didn't need a new console
For years now I've had a Crucial MX500 2TB SSS inside my One X, I took it apart voiding the warranty sticker and upgraded the internal drive with a fresh OS install. MY One X runs far smoother and loads faster, the One X has SATA 3 so I get the full potential from the machine games like Halo Infinite and Forza Horizon 4 (don't have 5) load at light speed. Now for the record I DO NOT OWN a game newer than Halo Infinite as I'm all PS5/PC currently.
My local Facebook marketplace has tons of series s for sale for just under £100
series S blurry low-res
one X clear sharp and high-res
I'm trying to decide between these two and the problem is the pricing on the used market. I had a Series X but rarely used it and sold it off. I have a VCR Xbone to access my digital Gamepass/One/360 library but I want something more powerful.
The problem is, both the One X and Series S can be had for around $150 and I've seen both go for close to $100! I think I'm going to go with the Series S because I want a console to play GTA VI on when it comes out and it's likely not going to be on Gamepass (therefore, the cloud) in a long time.
In other words, Microsoft launched a video game claiming to be "new generation" but only a little stronger than the top of the previous generation…. honestly, I don't know why the Series S exists…. they could have stayed only with Series X.
I'm tempted to get a used Xbox one x. There's some in my area for 60-80usd. I can sell my VCR xbone and cover the cost 👀
Perfect example of having more teraflops doesn’t always mean better performance. Ppl are expecting the ps5 pro to be around 4070 super level type of experience when it’s not really going to be like that at most it will be like 4060 ti level.
Series s is an underpowered all digital waste of space.
I’m just opening my Xbox one X with Xbox old games and it’s great playing max pays game then Gearsof war games next
Jaguar cores aren't trash. Games in 2013 were heavily single threaded even after having multi core CPU's since 2006 , because game developers are inherently lazy to optimize. Having the Jaguar architecture is what forced game developers to optimize for multi core. ADD to it the fact that the 8 Jaguar cores when combined and properly optimized for was almost equal to the i5 750 (the second fastest chip of the time), which is again verified in multi core benchmarks and verified by it's ability to run modern multi core optimized titles 11 years after launch . it was not a bad CPU, may be for 2013 it was bad, due to optimization issues , but for gamers as a whole it was good …
Still playing on my smooth silent Xbox one X still rocks at Warzone
My One X has a SSD which helps massively. If developers focused on the One X, these games would be better but it is an afterthought now with the current consoles. However, I would never upgrade to a Series S. I will eventually upgrade to the Series X when GTA 6 comes out
One X was so underappreciated, but it came in the game late
With Series S still unable to run 360 titles in 4k it is too bad that the One X support / optimization was droped…
Still One X should have been the baseline for Series S…
Test the loading speeds with an SSD in the X.
Do a retest of the xbox one with an internal ssd i know it makes it night and day
I know it's touched on a bit at the end of the video, but; Would a major aspect of the frame rate difference not simply be due to the fact that any game from the last few years have not been "One X Enhanced", so the XBOneX is simply running the Base One version, just holding a more stable resolution/FPS? The hardware literally isn't being utilized, it's simply operating like an overclocked Xbox One S?… This is why games that ARE "One X Enhanced" can look and run way better than Series S, if Series S is just running the Xbox One version of a game?
4:13 a halllved frame time target
I’ve wondered how different the loading times would be if you installed an SSD into the One X
i use an external SSD on xbox one X load times and textures are bether there, you can notice by playing games like MHW PUBG etc etc even the external SSD help a bit on performance compared to HDD as you notice faster load times like cyber punk 2077 HDD vs SSD on xbox one x
I love how so many channels don't even consider Switch 'current gen', yet it gathers most of the profits in THIS GEN. Let alone how much fun gameplay its library provides.
I’d like to point out that the Xbox One X is a great 4k blu Ray player which you don’t get with the series S.
I also would imagine upgrading the Xbox One X with an SSD will change load times.
PC gamer, but I literally got a One X just the other day for £40 just to get a bit more value from my Gamepass Ultimate. Actually really impressed with what I’ve seen.
Never played Halo 5 as it’s still one of the few console exclusives and it’s amazing at 4K and smooth 60 fps. Can’t believe this is a 9 year old game. Apparently some people didn’t like the campaign, but so far I’m enjoying it a lot more than Infinite.
Series s is a good entry level console but a digital and few 100gb less storage series x version could have fared better.
they do very bad with one x…
The best console for the last generation and ps4 (basic) continues to makes games for they gamers.
For me, Microsoft and series s are die, they lose one follower here.
I think one x can do all the new games easly but…., to bad Microsoft, good bye 🙋♂️.
Dont speak me about fps, speak about my tv 4k and HDR, ONE X can do this 👍
You guys always talk about the "lack of motion blur" as a bad thing. WTF?! That's the WORST feature in every game it appears in. Like, what's the logic? Use MORE GPU power to make the game look LESS impressive?
Also, locked 30 fps is garbage. It's always been garbage. PLEASE for the love of everything good in this world, stop praising these two objectively TERRIBLE features.
If only the Series S had a beefier GPU with similar raw power as the ONE X, it would be a upgrade in all areas, GPU would be more efficient at the same TFLOPS, CPU would be 4 times faster on each core, have a SSD, just would be so amazing.
Only complaint about the Series S in the GPU
the one x and the ps4 pro are amazing consoles no one is missing on current gen gaming.
I still have a Won X in my closet boxed up and a 360 Elite in there boxed up too. One day my Series X will join them. Not selling them.
I'd rather have a series s and a ps5, that would be a perfect combo
Loved and enjoyed my xbox one x was superior back in 2017 until i bought the series x
Worse textures on One X just don't make sense, even given its slower CPU and HDD. Devs just don't bother with last gen versions anymore, which in turn means that this generation has barely started from a software perspective.
建议换个麦克风,真的听你说话很不清晰。另外,我觉得微软就是故意给Xbox one x锁帧,明明可以跟xss一样。
If the One X could play The Finals and xDefiant i wouldnt have switched
From the comments there’s clearly some people that don’t understand this isn’t a series X/S comparison.
Even if one x is affected by the hardware of its time, I still prefer it over the series s. That console should have never existed and is a contributor to the demise of xbox as a console brand
xbox one x gpu its actually good, but the potato jaguar chip makes it underperform so hard, a single core from a zen2 cpu has more processing power than all of jaguar eight cores combined unfortunately, actually i wont doubt if the powercell cpus from 360/ps3 outperform the jaguar xd 😂
Xbox one x gives you 4k, the ability to play discs and has more download space
