Fallout 4 is underrated I love it till this day along with 3 & NV those games I couldn’t live without especially 4 even with it’s Criticisms
Next Gen Update: adds more broken content while fixing none of the old bugs
the simple answer is that fallout 4 is a shit game made by a big company that thinks its an indie company
I wise man said "Fallout 4 is my favorite Call of Duty game"
I remember people complaining about the lighting and blue skies in Fallout 4.
It's the best game in the series for me.
Fallout 4 did a great job with settlements and exploration but failed as an rpg in almost every aspect. Boring story, boring choices, bad writing the works
I installed many mods. I love bullet time and lowering weapons.
New vegas did it better….
I've played fo3 and new vegas quite a bit and loved them… fo4 is very toned down with the violence which I hate. Fo4 feels like a fo for 10 yr olds, the settlement feels like mine craft and fortnite added in. The dialog and speech checks feel like a downgrade. The legendary affects on the guns suck…. I want my uniques back.
Fallout 4 survival mode is my favorite fallout experience I’ve ever had. 76 disappointed me mainly because the survival mechanics were scaled down.
Crazy how in 2024 i finally play this game for myself and almost instantly lost a week of gametime to it😂but overall minus the DLCs its a pretty good game vs anything thats catching attention quick now adays plus its a game that gives you almost infinitely something to do and spend more time on. Most ppl praise New Vegas heavier but playing that myself with no voice dialogue is kinda wierd for me as to why i dont even like playing New Vegas but i love Fallout 4
The biggest pro for me was the voiced protagonist. No more walls of text like in New Vegas.
It did not, in fact, just work.
Fo4 a mediocre shooter with some RPG elements
The gameplay is great, love the graphics too and building a trash town is fun.
But the story is a joke, the tone is way too light and the RPG elements are lacking hard.
Wrong name, its Fallout76.
Late on the upload, time was 2018
I hate this type of channel because it's commercial gaming bs. Instead of offering a gamer's view the ''journalist'' loses himself in release dates or paid DLCs and whatever. To put it simply Fallout 4 is not that appealing for people interested in roleplaying. It was created to appeal mostly to the Minecraft generation. The skill system is silly, you're not really creating a character etc. It's like trying to make old school gamers interested in RGB crap. Kids who don't know better buy into shitty tech or games because they don't know any better. They don't have a basis in gaming education so to speak. That's the generation F4 is aimed at. It's not ''divisive''.
Some people just like to whine too much. I get to explore to my hearts content and influence the world with the settlement building. I'm very happy with Fallout 4. I've barely touched the main quest and i'm good with that. I get what I want out of my game time. Note to others "IT'S NOT NEW VEGAS. PLAY THAT IF IT"S WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY" 🙂
Great analysis Mai d00d
While I understand some of the criticisms of Fallout 4 such as the revamped dialogue system with voiced protagonist, I would argue that this entry is also the one that has aged the best and is the one I'd recommend to newcomers above any of the others. There are countless QOL and gameplay improvements that 4 has that the older entries don't that makes me rank it as my favorite entry.
My personal biggest disappointment is that half of the DLCs are for settlement building, so with Automatron basically just existing to give a new gameplay mechanic and a short quest line, we are only left with 2 full DLCs whereas 3 and NV got 5 and 4 respectively.
Cause the institute and Shaun reveal was stupid.
the story was ass, the rest were okay at best
the "brilliance" of todd howard ? careful buddy, you have chess club member on your lip there
i havent even finished any storyline in f4 …. far to busy with building up cities 😉 2500 hours so far…
The mechanics were interesting, and the premise was good. Once the son is revealed to be a wildly evil antagonist, and none of the other factions were compelling or viable, I quit. It’s the only Fallout game I never finished.
Because compared to Fallout 1, 2 and New Vegas it’s a watered down game on the rpg elements like alot of Todd Howard games. From Morrowind onwards the rpg elements have been watered down to stripped away and it’s thanks to Todd Howard.
Because its not Fallout
Crazy how people glorify this game after watching the show
it was the biggest disappointment in gaming history for me
play any fallout game before this one and they're just so much better
people dont even care about story or rpg elements in games anymore and it shows
By "immediately sold out" you mean it was literally sold putthe very second it went on sale. I stayed up till midnight the night It was being dropped. At 1159 the page said it wasn't available yet. At the moment it went to 1200 I refreshed the page and it was sold out
Played it for an hour. Realised I was going to spend hours collecting rubbish in order to craft just about everything and play post-apocalyptic Minecraft. Uninstalled and onto Octopath Traveler. Like, an actual RPG. I actually loved Fallout 3 and have the plat – just don't see another Fallout game that appeals in a world of 5th gen consoles.
Felt there should be more conversations, rather than shoot first mentality of enemies. Convince raider groups to join your settlements if you smoothtalk them enough.
Oh, and let settlements be mostly automated and supplying eachother, with different settlement types available, which influenced how a settlement would take shape.
Like Sanctuary would be an Urban center, many buildings, lots of settlers and set up factories, which would supply you and your Minutemen with supplies. Red Rocket is a natural Trading Station. Then several farms that you get on your side will supply food, while Minutemen soldiers would arrive and set up guard posts.
All of this by designating a settlement to a type, not having to spend hours upon hours upon hours building stuff.
For me i just found the game boring, and too casualized of an RPG experience whuc is really unbecoming of a studio that's supposed to be one of the best western RPG developers but the poor performance on Xbox one was ehat ultimately turned me off before DLC even dropped. Playing now on Series X modded and its pretty nice
To me it felt unfinished, and kinda a wack art style change to, like the buildings look awful no doubt, lot of weapons straight up don’t make sense, I am looking at you “assault rifle” they added in settlement building but gave us I kid you not the worst terain I seen in any game, it’s like trying to build and it always looks like crap because grass the ground glitched threw it and made it look ugly due to the fact there isn’t a space that’s more then 5 feet wide and flat…then there is the settlements themselves hafe of them don’t make sense as settlements. Like bro why would I live hear or anyone for that matter. You have this bigger towns that would be better to rebuild and acutely look good, there is like 2 towns in the game completely that have unique settler’s with acutely story’s, and there is no role play elements. The game ends the same way with different factions. And the omg I hate and love the minute men, you literally get to build a “army” then you don’t get to use it at all..and dear god the thech quest is so freaking awful. STOP DOUNT FETCH QUEST PLEASE GOD I HATE ALL OF THEM!!!!
I'm late to the Fallout party played a couple of minutes of Fallout 3 back in its heyday but it didn't really lure me in so I never gave the series another try. Like a lot of other people because of the show I'm back on trying the series and Fallout 4 is my first single player Fallout I'm playing through and I'm loving it. I also played and downloaded Fallout 76 and having a blast with that as well with friends. So coming into these games new and unbiased I feel like a lot of people have been judging them too harshly. I was always more into Skyrim and oblivion then the fallout series but now I'm hooked.
Most of the hate is underserved, besides/perks the story and gameplay are better than NV, judging the game mainly by its story is wrong…
Preston.
Worst companion ever.
I rank him below the Pariah dog and that is not a hard decision to make.
Because their favorite YouTubers and Reddit told them to be mad about nonexistent issues.
Remove voice acting, and replace the dialogue wheel with a box, and it’d be considered one of the greatest games of all time
Simple… because it wasn't New Vegas.
Fans wanted a Fallout game a hard RPG, but what we got is a half baked open world shooter, with little to no real RPG elements, worst dialog system ever, the writing is terrible especialy the main story and factions is/are bland! Very little exception some characters were somewhat good. Not to mention the synrs are ripped from Blade Runner and doesn't fit with the technology of the Fallout universe!
