I'll give this a try ONCE it is Pirated. NOT paying a single dime to UBISOFT.
so ive liked all of Ubisoft's open worlds, and the entire franchise was founded on obscure history like the original game was based on "the old man in the mountain" history a real person who did command assassins during the crusades and was feared by all sides,
so choosing the one black samurai is in line with the obscure history side of assassins creed
Get back to me when you end up banging some dude as Yasuke
I like long games!
It was no problem to have a white main character in the Series "Shōgun", it was no problem to have a white guy be the Protagonist in the Movie "The Last Samurai".
I'm simply not buying it because Ubisoft did it, that's a solid reason
It was never about woke and agenda.
It is about manipulating historical facts and intentionally broadcasting it as historically accurate. Undermining Japan's heritage and culture.
Symbols, sigils and architectural structures are being modified contrary to the actual true uses and function.
Amazing video man
Black samurai and female assasin in feudal Japan? IDK why this $hitshow will flop 😂
As a gamer, I don’t take the content seriously when it comes to games. I have streaming services for that.
All I want is a gameplay that I will enjoy. Good content and character development is just a bonus
Nothing is true; everything is permitted
I dislike naggers😂
Has noone ever played AC the disclaimer in the beginning says it all. FFS the franchise had Davinci as an ally to the Assassins.
Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii is going to be 10x better than skull and Bones
People arent mad with the game. They are mad with ubisoft and they would find the most little issue possible just complain. If it was other company they would just love it. Im not defending ubisoft, im saying that we need to critique games for what they have and what they are. So wait for you to play it first before raiding it and Hating it.
ik theres a lot of hate but im still excited to cover this game good or bad
If you want to profit off other people's culture and heritage the least you can do is show some respect.
Not too unrelated but the amount of industry plant here arguing in the comment section and some Japanese people naively trying to argue in good faith is sad.
I’m not getting this game. Not because there is a black guy in it but because I have no faith in Ubisoft to make a good game
The problem with Yasuke is not his race. It’s that historically he was not who Ubisoft thinks he is.
He was at most a novelty samurai only brought in because of his race who supposedly fought in like two battles at most (one of which I know they lost), only served for a year or so, allowed himself to be captured but was then released because he wasn’t considered a real samurai, he was sent back to the Jesuits and his wounds healed, then he disappears from the history books forever.
He is never mentioned again after he was released. But we do know that he didn’t just die. Ubisoft is trying to paint him as a great warrior and the man who broke the color barrier in Japan. He wasn’t a great warrior cause he hardly ever fought. And he didn’t break the color barrier, if anything the novelty of him only deepened the divide between color.
So Ubisoft’s portrayal is just not true at all, on either accounts. That’s what the Japanese and everyone else are mad about.
You hate Ubisoft for making a Black Samurai a player character. I hate Ubisoft for shielding a culture of sexual abuse and r***. We are not the same.
I understand the anger around the shitty sales practices. But let’s not pretend that gamers are okay with a black protagonist in Japan. It’s definitely reactionary and racist. I know that gets thrown around a lot these days, but in this case it’s pretty spot on.
