Internationally acclaimed gender non-conforming poet and author ALOK has long used their art to speak out about gender and sexuality, and the societal constructs that constrain us, like rigid gender norms and toxic masculinity.
And now they’re exploring a new artistic practice: comedy.
ALOK sat with TNM’s Aki Camargo to chat about their artistic evolution and discuss the state of trans rights today, including policies banning gender-affirming care for youth across the globe.
