i personally like to use 8oz gloves when on the bag
my weight is 77 kilos, and comfortable gloves for my hands is 14OZ. If you big, and more than 85 kilos, i think you must train with 16-18+ OZ gloves, if you are lightweight you can train with 10-12OZ, it all depends on your weight
I use 16oz for the bag and pad work, 20oz for sparring cause I have heavy hands.

8oz and 10oz weren’t good for me. I’d wear them down too quickly. 14oz and 16oz I use for everything now. Great video tho 👌🏽

I constantly weigh at a round 66-68 kg and the optimal and most comfortable size for me for just about any purpose is 14oz. I’ve never competed though so I’m guessing I might be asked to put on a pair of 12s in a competitive situation.
