  1. Jujitsu didn't help me alott i was jumped at , I'm a female , and I did the mistake and pulled gaurd and she was pulling my hair while I was trying to armbar her😅

  2. Judo belongs on this list. I say that as someone why hasn't trained it. Black belt in taekwondo Blue belt in BJJ. Flight a judo guy and he whooped my ass. Add in the fact that I'm the street, your hiring concrete rather than a nice mat and it's a brutal martial art.

  3. Seems to be this presupposition amongst a lot of people these days that it’s just a matter of when you get in a street fight and not if…99% of people will never be in a fight in their entire lives and in the unlikelyhood you are it’ll be a 10 second scuffle outside a bar not a prolonged UFC style match… and if you are the type of person that goes looking for street fights doesn’t usually matter how much you know one day what goes around comes around and you’ll meet someone that knows more.

  4. Best defense: Being smart enough not to get into dangerous situations. Going out with a large group of relatively fit friends. Running away. Gun. Knife. Trained companion/guard dog.

  5. So going by it…

    Boxing + muay thai mixed
Boxing for upper body, and muay thai for lower

    Muay for speed
    Box for potency
And krav maga stands in defense

Potency, speed and defense, combine into the ultimate hit to ko an enemy

  6. if you wish to learn how to defend yourself asap, it depends on how many options are available, assuming you can't pick "mma", 1 option available: combat sambo, 2 options available (1 for grappling, 1 for striking): boxing and judo, 3 options available (within mma): boxing, wrestling and jiu-jitsu … I think those are your best bets for short term self defence

  7. I like sweeping, throwing, kneeing, elbowing, wrestling, and smeshing and clinching so I recommend MMA because it teaches you Muay Thai strikes in the clinch and Wrestling, and Throwing, and beating them to the ground

  8. HI can someone please help? My son is turning 13 and he was in his first fight yesterday at school, a larger student repeatedly punched him in the head and face, I think my son only got one punch in, he is not a fighter. Im not sure if I should put him in May Thai, boxing or BJJ, the fight never ended on the ground. I was thinking something for striking and kicking but not sure what to do. Thanks!!

  9. I will make it simple… Boxing for offense including multiple opponents and Judo for close grappling. That's it. You dont have to learn BJJ, Wrestling etc. Combine Boxing with Judo and practice it at street situation with your friends, and you will be formidable at streetfights! Guarantee!

  10. i grew up in the slums of brazil, some people can get away with homicide. Any martial arts are useless against thugs, they dont fight fair . they resort in numbers or sharp/blunt weapons. Even if you win against them they would just try to find your home and get revenge. i have my experience, i practice muaythai and bit of judo but i think having a licensed gun is the best martial arts in our area

  11. You can learn to throw punches and kicks all day in many different ways.
Nothing prepares you got getting punched or kicked except getting punched and kicked.
