Thank you!
Maybe just the desires, huh? No he lines you up with his as you do what you must which is to seek his will.
When a person is born again, they get a new heart because man's heart is deceitful above all things. So what God is saying He gives you the desires of your heart because your heart is aligned now with God's heart because He has through the Holy Spirit poured out the love of God into your new heart.
It's a lie. It's just bullshit.
So many Christians do feel serious disappointment I am certain, is it that they haven't loved God, trusted God, sought God as they ought to have done or is the answer more complex? I reckon sin must play a role in people's disappointment, how can I deny that sin is probably the reason I am disappointed now but let's take the apostle Paul, if he desired an easy life or a fulfilling romantic life or sunny holidays then I'm pretty sure he was disappointed unless he got to enjoy some of that before his dramatic conversion. If however his ultimate desire became to have surpassing revelations, reward in glory, intimacy with Yah, a sense of purpose in fulfilling God's calling on his life then well he had that. This does sound super spiritual though I admit as if wanting a marriage partner or to have pleasures in life was somehow sinful or unspiritual? I don't think that but somehow it seems nobler to shun such earthly pleasures for spiritual ones except that all good gifts are from above including marriage and good food and sunsets and exercise and family and friendships etc. Yet God knows what we need and he gave us these normal and healthy desires
This scripture is the foundation for keeping your roots strong with the Lord. Proverbs 3;5-6: TRUST IN THE LORD WITH ALL OF YOUR HEART AND DO NOT LEAN ON YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING. IN ALL OF YOUR WAYS, ACKNOWLEDGE THE LORD (submit your will to him) AND HE WILL DIRECT YOUR PATH. There are two (2) wills. First, there is free-will (worldly desires). And secondly, there is God's will. It is crucial to understand that God's will always aligns with the Word of God. Free-will and God's will are always at war with one another. There are two (2) subtypes of free-will. One being, the will of your flesh. And the other is the will of the devil.
Thank You for your Ministry
Psalm 37:4 contains a great promise: “Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.” This verse invites us to have a deeply intimate relationship with God. As we delight in Him, He will give us the desires of our heart. To fully appreciate this promise, we must review the immediate context, unpack its meaning, and apply it to our lives.
Psalm 37, penned by King David, is a poetic meditation on the righteousness of God and the fulfillment of His promises. This psalm specifically addresses the struggles faced by the righteous in a world that is dominated by the wicked (verses 1–2). Despite these struggles, David encourages his readers to “trust in the Lord and do good” (verse 3). It is within this context that we find the promise of verse 4 that God will “give you the desires of your heart.”
To understand the promise in Psalm 37:4, we must first examine the meaning of delighting in the Lord. The word delight encompasses a profound sense of joy, satisfaction, and contentment. When we delight in the Lord, we seek His presence (Psalm 27:4), meditate on His Word day and night (Joshua 1:8 and Psalm 1:2), and align our will with His (Romans 12:2). This involves the heart, mind, and soul (Matthew 22:37).
When we delight in the Lord, we will experience a radical shift in our desires. In other words, we will no longer desire selfish and sinful things (Galatians 5:17–21). Instead, we will desire the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (verses 22–23). And, when we desire the same things God desires for us, our requests will be granted (Matthew 6:33 and John 14:14).
The promise in Psalm 37:4 does not imply that God is a cosmic genie who grants every fleeting whim or selfish request. On the contrary, the promise points to a definitive transformation within our heart as we draw closer to Him.
God’s response to our delight in Him is twofold. First, He shapes and molds our hearts to align our will with His. Through the work of the Holy Spirit, we are purged of selfishness, pride, and unrighteous desires. As we draw closer to Him, our desires will begin to mirror His desires for us, reflecting His goodness and righteousness.
Second, God will grant desires that accord with His will and glory (Romans 11:36). This does not mean that every request will be granted; rather, the desires of our heart will be fulfilled in ways that accomplish His purpose for our lives (Romans 8:28).
God’s response to our delight in Him may not always meet our expectations or occur immediately. His ways are higher than our ways (Isaiah 55:8–9), and His timing is beyond our comprehension. He may even use delays or redirections to refine our desires and strengthen our faith in Him. As we wait for God to answer our requests, we can trust that His timing is always perfect (Isaiah 40:31).
Psalm 37:4 prompts us to delight in the Lord and align our desires with His perfect will. As we cultivate a heart that finds joy, satisfaction, and contentment in Him, He will transform our desires to reflect His purposes. While the fulfillment of our desires may not always align with our expectations, we can trust in the faithfulness of God. By embracing the promise in Psalm 37:4, our lives become characterized by the fulfillment of desires that bring glory to Him.

But how to "delight" in the Lord, what exactly would you say in practical way is "delighting" in the Lord? 🤔
"Delight yourself in the LORD…" — wonderful phrase/command . Keep sharing Sister . Easy to remember the Message because video length just right . New here . Liked & Subscribe "All" . God bless us all .
He will give according to HIS Will. A person that has been Washed by The Son of God, will Desire HIS Will be done. They don't desire Sinful things
It can only mean two things and it certainly doesn't mean God will give what you want.
When we delights in the LORD knowing HE is our joy, satisfaction and security our desires will connect to HIS will and GOD will grant them for us and if not given to us, still we commit and trust HIS heart and plan. 🙏
GOD bless us more!❤️🙏🤗💐

When you recite verses to friends, do you recite the evil sadistic ones (plenty to choose from) as well or do you just avoid them so as not to risk that person from raising an eyebrow and perhaps start questioning this god.
very good. thank you!

God bless you sister
It's a trick. (1) FIRST He will give you a new heart. That new heart will desire only things that God wants to give you. (2) NEXT . . . IF and only if you have received a new heart from God . . . then and only then will He give you the desires He has already put there. (3) BADA – BING case closed. BTW in this context " heart " means " mind." The mind that is " in Christ." Another trick phrase. Tough luck !!!!!!!!! Ya gotta get up pretty early in the morning to put anything over on Him. He's got it all covered. Know what i mean ???????????
On a scientific and astronomical level, after 23,000 the earth is just about to align again this weekend with Alcyone, the Central Spiritual Sun in the Pleiades, entering and remaining in the photon belt for a period of 2000 years again😮😳😲 The gamma radiation of light, fire and plasma are at hand. The sun will darken showing a Ring of Fire around. 😧This is the True Second Coming of Christ.🥺
It's funny how all these men all the sudden "love jesus". Shows the real desire of their hearts. The flesh! Something they will only dream about. In the meantime go back to your old ugly wives.
Never give a toddler a steak knife. Desires are wonderful but the Father knows what is best to FULFIL us, rather than DESTROY us by lusts without understanding.
James 1:15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
Eve did not sin. She was led away by Lust, she "bore fruit" [conceived] toward Adam. ADAM KNEW. HE COULD HAVE REJECTED HER VOW/ACTION, BUT INSTEAD HE WANTED DEATH, TO FEED ON HIS OWN CHILDREN.
The First Adam accepted Death [fruit with NO seed] within Eve. Adam did not "care" about the DESIRES [hearts or Spirits] of his children or people. It is like holding water back in an Empty Cup. Adam wanted to break every vessel and drink, to "be" everything. It is the Arrogance scripture speaks of. Arrogance only seeks to climb higher; it is FIRE.
WATER [the Lamb] SEEKS THE LOWEST and finds balance in stillness.
The WORD is the CUP: is masculine: the PATTERN set.
The SPIRIT is the WATER within the cup.
WE speak we "form", but the SPIRIT is the vapor, water which goes out and "takes shape".
Water [SPIRIT] on the ground is formlessness [Abel's blood spilled… cried out from the ground].
BUT within a CUP WATER seeks to be "balanced", still, free, protected and [hopefully kept clean].
Adam allowed venom in the Cup. The Spirits were then defiled, troubled. Now, everything was "unclean" which came out of Mankind. He cared about POWER and AUTHORITY [the Dragon is ADAM]; The Serpent is Abaddon/Apollo.
A husband should care about the desires of the Spirit.
THIS is why the Father states [when He makes a New Man: Second Adam, or bridegroom] that HER DESIRE shall be increased, because the Lamb [& Rod of Iron] shall LOVE their people and their Spirits and want to put them in best spaces to realize their desires and be "balanced".
Because Adam is a spiritual "king". He forced his subjects to do great evil, but the DESIRES of the people should be considered. It is not good to skew the intent of a man. They are judged by their heart, but witnessed and given fruit by their actions.
Solid copy, Elize. Thank You, Heavenly Father, for speaking Your Word, Your Truth to me through Ms. Viktoria here. Thank You for this blessing and Your mercies, which you renew every morning.
Hechos…la Verdad. Ni mas, ni menos (Deuteronomy 4:2/Revelation 22:18-19). תודה רבה, Elize.
Thank You
I think we need the mercy of the Lord to be able to desire completely in him?…our strength is weak that it ends up desiring the flesh
AMEN!
The Heart does not Lie! Surrender completely and He Will Give You the desires of your heart. 😊❤
Amen🙏✝️ from India. God Bless You.
1 john 5:14-15 This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 15 And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.
or the following is true
James 4:3-4 When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures. 4 You adulterous people,[a] don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.
HIS DESIRES become your desires.
One's deepest desires aren't necessarily God's command. Question is, would one still believe in the Lord if poverty struck and illness hit.
