  1. USA: 1 China: 0
All joking aside, don't do what this guy did. He's not a bad dude but you still gotta think before your shoot and know your backstop. 🙂

But also, I don’t plan on competing against this guy at the range, lol. 75+ feet!

  2. I don't really care about one of those damn things being wrecked, but yeah, you can't just fire into the air, especially in a residential area. What goes up must come down. Ain't no way a 9mm round is achieving escape velocity lol. One of the most basic fundamental aspects of firearm safety is being aware of what's behind your target, and he obviously didn't do that.

Absolute class act though when the officer showed up; cooperated and was honest. Hopefully the courts go easy. He needs some level of punishment for firing into the air like that, but he shouldn't be given a prison term. They constantly let career criminal like thieves and drug dealers off the hook; why not this guy?

  3. That drone was on his property without his consent. When you own real estate you own the air above it, the land and the minerals below the surface. The drone was menacing and he had every right to take it down.

  4. So i'm not from the states, is it likely that he'll get some sort of leniency becouse of his honesty, cooperation and maybe some consideration for his concerns about drones around his house? or is he just fucked?

  5. Dang, nice shot grandpa! maybe next time use less-lethal, like a bean bag or something, because you don't know which drone has groceries, and which has grenades.

  6. this arrest didnt seem justified, i mean it was in dudes property and prior incidences w drones have happened before, he would hv had no idea it was a wallmart drone. maybe inform a little in advance? idk many peeping tom drone footage already exists so i guess i would hv done sumthng similar. ps no prior history with police at such an age.

  7. I strongly side with the old man on this one. But the cop did the duty he had to do, its not up to the cop to decide that he wont prosecute or ignore the event. He spoke respectfully and conducted himself normal. But we should honestly have better laws so that people like him dont get charged so much money. Like literally there are other criminals out there being stopped for worst things than this with worst felonies and are only catching $1000 for it.

But as always, the law punishing stable middle class people stronger cause they know they can pay it. Disgusting

  8. First of all, firing any gun into the air is dangerous because the bullet or slug could still fall and cause damage, injury or even death. Second, firing at an airborne object, like a drone, could be a violation of FAA rules. The drone could be the property of a governmental agency doing legitimate work such as tax assessment or some form of hazard or repair assessment. Third, this cop needs to shut up and let the man say his piece instead of interrupting him constantly. This cop has the worst interviewing technique I’ve ever heard on YouTube or in rl.

  9. Our justice system is a TOTAL failure. This guy STATED that someone LIVES IN THE AREA who HAS BEEN WARNED about flying drones over people's property. THAT person posts videos on social media. Peeping Tom's are a real thing.

Am I upset with the guy? Nah. Sending a live round flying IS definitely a dangerous thing to do in a residential area. EVEN WHEN JUSTIFIED in self defense it is dangerous. Having said that? He didn't go nuts and empty a whole magazine into it. One stray is bad enough.

Also? He's a hell of a shot for his age.

  10. That cop that did the report at the end is a A hole. The judge isn’t stupid the judge will know what goes up must come down and that a bullet could have landed anywhere so why did he mention a few times kids and kids in different areas surrounding the neighborhood?? He put in there back to back that he counted several kids towards that end of the neighborhood when coming in and another group of kids several outside playing a little further down there so why keep saying the obvious especially when the dude was being calm honest and nice???! The old man wasn’t thinking clearly you don’t do this in a crowded area yes but he was way to honest way to nice willing to put hands behind him if that’s what their job required etc etc. plus they knew for a fact the drone was hit so again why is the cop piling on??? The cop had no clue when he pulled in to the neighborhood which way the guy shot he had nothing so it doesn’t help the case one bit just makes him out to be a hole. If the old man was a jerk then ok def do it he might have a crap lawyer too etc but he was nice and honest and willing to be basically hogtied in the back of the small police cruiser if it was required or if it made their job easier yet the cop did that. They wonder why people hate cops that’s why!! Dude can be honest and nice on something yes not good but they know where the bullet went yet they still go after you pointing out stuff that’s common knowledge and where the kids are etc even if it’s irrelevant.especially since they knew before he had hit the drone!!! Come on!! He must be the guy in grade school and high school that got picked on all the time all 4’8 of him so he takes it out on everyone now even grandpas. I can’t imagine a ex military man would do that well maybe a mp haha.

Side note wtf gives a company the right to hover over your home??? At most the license should say stay where the driveway meets the road when below I dunno 1500-2000 feet during these test runs!! Then when the service is actually up and running only when the home is confirmed and the land owners have actually ordered something below 1500-2000 feet then should it be allowed over your property!! And it should not be allowed to hover in that spot for more than 2 mins!! Heck it should be 30 seconds but I get it they have delays. They need to regulate this better. If they wanna control all this then do it correctly don’t half a55 for a power trip or pay offs.

Wal mart and all these companies wanting to do this should have that policy or something like it obviously. Then in the street clear them to a higher altitude. I would think a homeowner has some air rights but I dunno. At 1,500 -2,000 feet up then maybe they can cross over homes.

Anyway it’s all new we will see but those flying them gotta do better and think put yourself in these old people shoes and if they are testing they gotta tell the neighbors and get their permission because a test will have a lot of hover time checks and strings hanging down! Plus thanks to Ukraine on the news non stop now we see store bought drones killing people or blowing up tanks and people. So nowadays especially I can see people getting scared of that on top of the creep stuff too! So not smart thinking by FAA and wal mart (I’m sure others do it too) so they need to revisit that!

  11. But by the dudes description who ever flew that drone was flying illegally. Over people, sounds like it was under 80ft,drone probably not registered with the fan, pilot most likely no remote pilot license, bad weather
