  1. Chinese guy and native Cantonese speaker here. I think it's quite clear that his body mechanics are just superb , not even touching on the rest of his repertoire; training etc. So if Cody Garbrant can be champ @ 135, I don't see why he could not have at least been very competitive.

  2. you are actually talking BS ! he didn't fought for points he was a real street fighter ! he actually was in more fights the the average tournament fighters !! and he didn't had refs to stop the fight when he was on the floor or rules to help him avoid injuries !! do google /youtube search and check how ufc 1-4 looked like ! barely rules ! pure fights! now understand that in street fight they can come with weapons and not just 1v1 !!!!

  3. Both sides of the madness are nuts. Would Bruce Obliterate Mike Tyson? Why would he even risk his face boxing with him as a film star? Many of the heavyweights would have arms as big as his thighs. MMA artists are trained to exploit openings. On the other hand MMA fighters could beat him is also nuts. He's documented to fight, had tremendous speed and strength and insane kicks. Not to mention a tenacity with learning. How long would it take him to pick up MMA skills? Even the weight arguments are bizarre. A boxer doesn't use kicks. Would he even be guarding enough to remain standing? What ifs is a strange game of selective arguments.

That said, idolizing Bruce Lee or making a "Superman" out of him is ignorance and enthusiasm that led many to fitter lives. On the other hand, trash talking an accomplished artist only shows the speaker in bad light.

  4. Bruce was a street fighter. He trained to fight without rules, and the techniques in this sense, as well as the training, are completely different from those in the ring. A Krav Maga master will be much more prepared for the street than a champion MMA fighter… they are different things. Instead of trying to understand his way of thinking, techniques and philosophy, people waste time arguing whether he could beat Mike Tyson or Rickson Gracie in MMA events. He was incredibly fast, strong for his weight and very intelligent, being ahead of his time in many aspects, including martial arts, not to mention his contributions to cinema, etc., which were not few. I think of him as a great thinker worthy of inspiration. And when it comes to being a fighter, the testimonies of his closest students and fighters of the time who were in contact with him speak for themselves. Chuck Norris and others were taught, but they say they only "trained" with him… pride speaks louder, lol. He was a great fighter… for his time, he was at the top of the pyramid.

  5. Respect……..sad to hear these young punks saying things about Bruce Lee when the man is not here to defend himself. Yet nearly every men, women who were involved in some kind of Martial Art in the 60's and early 70's will tell you that they have never seen/encountered kicks and punches with amazing speed, power and strength known to men. This is in their own words. Chuck Norris can't help himself, there has never been any martial Artist that has put Chuck up there with Bruce, so he puts himself there. When you hear an interview from Jim Kelly, he is referring to Chuck Norris. Even Joe Lewis says in an interview, "there are people that don't want to admit they were trained by Lee". Chuck wouldn't come near Bruce, he is way too slow.

  6. With all due respect, after almost half a century in MArts, explore and research more.
Lee was not a cinema martial artist of a point fighter. He was a warrior. Consider his background in Hong Kong and ponder on the difference.
And exlpore more. When there are no rules and when you have in front of you someone who trains his mind and body 24/7, size matters not.
That's why an egoless and honest tournament champion, who knew Lee, Jim Kelly, said that he was ''untouchable''.
See here for some evidence you clearly ignore,

    With all due respect.

  7. Bruce Lee fought both Chuck Norris and Joe Lewis and beat them, Joe Lewis said he fought Bruce and Bruce was just too fast. Chuck Norris was asked by the guy who played the mafia boss on Way of the Dragon, who would win in a no rules fight between him and Bruce Lee, Chuck said Bruce would win, nobody could beat him. Bruce was too fast, and he could hit as hard as Ali. good luck to anybody who had to fight him

  8. He wasn't tested against the "best" fighters of his day? Yeah right ace, I suggest you read Bruce Lee historian John Little's book, Wrath of the Dragon: The real Fights of Bruce Lee. If you are going to waste your time making a dumb video about the man, then at least read up on him and tell the truth.

  9. iNB i m 39 now : practiced Kyokshin Karate when was 12 for 2 years, Basketball at age of 15 for 4 years, Taekwondo at 19 for 2 years alongside Bodybuilding that practiced for about 10 years, no artificial substances ! and after i stopped bodybuilding i switched to free style fight ! when i go to the gym i dont lift weight ! i go straight to the punching bag ! all my buddies kept asking me why i spend the 2 hours or so practicing on the punching bag i just say it allows me to try any move i want for ex a move i saw on movie or even a game that sounds funny it s fun to try ! free style fight is the real deal cause it allows you to use any martial art move and even your own original move and that takes us to Jet Ken Do ! well in street fight situations you gotta be prepared for any outcome and use all your body as a weapon in a street fight for ex i personally would bite my opponent or scratch him with my nails etc… grab his balls , his hair, pierce his eyes ! as long as i win that fight that i got involved into in a self defence situation ! i have never picked a fight with anybody ! i i never fight, i fight back ! and never underestimate your opponent ! thank you for reading and have a nice day Osu !

  10. Bruce Lee the one and only ! end of conversation ! no argue allowed ! that snap kick into high kick or round kick is good but way slower than Bruce Lee s and if you rewind the move you will see how fast it is compared to yours ! sorry kid but one thing you dont know or maybe your forgot that speed regenerate force and force gives you power ! an little ex a little tiny rock thrown is coming at you at 80Km/h is gonna inflict more damage than a big rock going at for 30Km/h or something the little rock could even pierce your head and goes through it ! so the little rock is Bruce Lee s punches ! and let s say the big rock is Tayson s punches ! sure they are powerful but the little faster ones would inflict more damage !

  11. In my opinion, MMA is not a sport and has no place in contact competition. For most case scenarios, it lacks gratefulness. It seems like two men at it trying to destroy each other. Lacks skills. It should not even be called martial arts but rather combat. So it seems to me Bruce Lee would not be too excited.

  12. What ever your veiw point lee pound for pound must have been one truly exceptional martial artist.as for the 67 footage lee was growing and developing all the time and was always searching for his own truth. Bruce lee at 20 was different to bruce at 26 and lee at 30 or 32 may have been light years away from his 26 year old self. As he was always developing and moveing on and forever entering into other areas of the fighting arts and was totally commited to finding and exploring his own truth and not only as a martial artist of course but as a human being. Of course he wasnt super lee no was. he some 1 dimensional ultimate fighting machine just a flesh and blood human being simply and honestly searching for his own truth. But all the myths legends ifs and buts ding dong dings that have now overshadowed the flesh and blood reality of the man shouldn't in any way take anything away from lee as a man or as a martial artist. And the way that even after all these years he continues to hold such continued interest and still casts a large shadow over martial arrts and the celoloid battle field speaks for its self

  13. Back in 1973 i was 7 years when i saw Enter thr Dragon and prior to that since i was 5 years old i used to go and watch many martial arts movies…, but when i saw Bruce lee on the screen for the first time I couldn’t believe my eyes because he was a superhuman on the screen the way he moved and he was so so far ahead of anyone else i had seen on the screen as far as skill level!!!! I’ll never forget that experience until the day i die
    Rest In Peace Bruce❤

  14. If you don't know Bruce was the Kung fu Jesus and could whip anyone than you haven't done your research and your opinion doesn't mean anything other than you don't mind talking shit about a dead man whom earned the respect you should show him. Talking about him but to lazy to do the homework should not include putting him down or doubting anything unless it's a show for little kids that can't talk yet
P.S. start with John Littles book wrath of the dragon and shut up

  15. It's not the height difference it's the weight difference between Lee and Ali, countless world class heavyweights in the 57-5'10 range Marciano, Tyson, Toney… In the UFC Dana White manipulates fights, making average height guys compete in welterweight because the average height heavyweights can really upset things.
