  1. If you think THAT guitar is cool, check out March of The Poozers from his Royal Albert Hall concert.. not only does the guitar he uses there have LED lights, it's got a built in smoke machine in it. Oh, and the song is really fun and amazing as well!

  2. The "epicloud" version is just a re-recording of it. Epicloud was 2012, but, the song was originally done, on the 2000 album physicist. Do you like the 2000 version, or the 2012 version better

  3. Love seeing people being blown away by this. In case you missed it, someone recorded him performing a great acoustic version of "Bring Him Home" from Les Miserables. Would love to see you react to it. This was fun and informative. 💚

  4. The best way I have ever found to describe Townsend is simple (beyond his insane talents) is he is a showman. His talents are insane… To be able to sing like he does, is hard to match. Then add in his ability as a music writer, which is also hard to match… Then add in someone who can do both AND have the ability to do both at once, to call it talented is a MASSIVE understatement. And then add in his stage persona… He goes beyond just being a musician, and is a showman in so many ways. He knows how to balance all that talent, while also putting on a show (when live) that doesn't go against the music, buit accentuates it. He has a trifecta that is rare to match any singular point, but to hit all three points is all but unheard of.

  5. Wow i think i fell in love with you 😀 Your such a beatifull woman.. and even more because you learned about DEVIN even more and you moved on from "oh hes hurting his voice" to.. wow.. hes been doing its since he was 16 🙂 and his voice would be dead years ago 🙂 I liked how you dressed up for deadhead as more rocky outfit and now in really nice colours and yes.. world NEEDS DEVIND TOWSEND.. he went thru some serious "sh.t" in his life and if not him who can we be more inspired by if not him and he will lift us up and he is allways ready to help charity events also. BTW you like a lot younger as i think you are. Keep on smiling 🙂

  6. When you analyze the duality of the song it’s self ,You can imply what ever context you like . The higher falsetto could be the feminine, or the angelic or even the temptress (drugs alcohol significant other…etc.) or the angry raspy fry vocals can imply a masculine or demon or even a suffering victim or addict. That’s what truly made this unique to the listener. Devin truly is an amazing story teller .

  8. Thank you or the best set up video I've yet seen, meaning that you demonstrated what parts you were referring to in precise cuts. I just don't understand how the people miss the tiny thing that the most epic guitar solo is 3 chords (4 according to some). I'd also like to add that you look like a million bucks, but in this sensitive age I obviously cannot. Have fun!

  9. I think only David Draiman and Tatiana Schmayluk, Creia Wraith and possibly Daria Zaritskaya and Melody from Liliac can shift from a very heavy grunt, scream or fry so fast. The latter two do it lightly but I think that's a style choice, I don't doubt they CAN go heavier.

Few people know Creia but she has absolutely wonderfully covered much of Arkona whose lead vocalist Masha Scream is quite famous in Russia. Here's an example of Russian folk metal from Arkona performed by Creia

  10. i don't know vocalist with an approaching identic style. except maybe mizuho lin from semblant. she has a classical backgroung and growl. she has an interesting voice but she is young. try the song incinerate from semblant.

  11. No one compares to Devy. If you want someone that can go through as many different characters in a song, maybe try Dave Brockie. Brockie has a rich voice, but not like Devy.

  12. Hey lady, great reaction! I really like your style, so classy and professional. I was also really impressed that you got the guitar joke. So many people miss that one. Great job. It's super awesome to see such a classy Townsend fan. You did us Devy fans proud. You have my thanks.
