  1. Legend has it Misha has at least 100 Arsenal in the configuration of 104UR, 104FR, 106UR, 106FR, 107FR, 107UR, Arsenal Izmash, Vepr 12, Saiga 12, Vepr RPK, Vepr 7.62, Every Norinco AK, Maadi AK, Polish Ak, and Every Russian AK in his safe with two warehouses of 5.45, 5.56, 7.62X39 ammo with pallets of Bakelite mags he built up over the years with a few ARs. Good review.

  2. id be interested in seeing an update for that Israeli .22. I will say, I must be in one of the more advanced stages of gun autism when I deduced that it was Israeli before you said it was. The FAL grip and K98 front sight hood was a bit too much of a mashup to be anyone elses.

  3. I wanted to get one of these when they came out, they sold out pretty quickly and Midwest never made more. And then they discontinued the rails at the same time, and they are basically impossible to find now, especially the 7-sided M-Lok interrupted top rail version (they also made a version where 4 sides are just vents, but looks like M-Lok). Midwest did a good job cloning these, but did not get everything perfect. The correct rear sight is the MBUS Pro LR, not the regular MBUS Pro, the ambi safety should be a Colt/Schmid, and the Cry Havoc should be the two pin version. I have also seen people speculate they are BCM barrels, but I have never seen any confirmation of what was used, a few people have said they even used nitride barrels.

I ended up building one using a new gen 4 Midwest rail, they make one that is 95% identical to the Gen 3, but with an uninterrupted top rail (although there are some pictures of Air Force ones built with uninterrupted top rails). The problem with the new MI rails is that you have to chop the anti rotation tabs off to fit the Cry Havoc QRB. Overall, it's probably one of my favorite AR's, a very nice, compact setup.

  4. I always thought these were awesome. It inspired me to make the smallest AR I could while still have a 16 inch barrel. I had a short grip and very minimal stock, p&w and folding sights. Very slim gun.
