  1. I'll take your point about the loving the potential of Firefly, and add that Firefly only really had HALF a season.
They made 14, but only broadcast 11.

  2. About a year ago, I figured I go watch some old Twilight Zone episodes. Easy fun viewing… I'd seen virtually all of them, so I know what to expect. I know the effects – few and far between – are very dated. I know how they generally play out. What's the big deal? I picked one I didn't recognize – it turned out to be "And When the Sky Was Opened".
Damn thing was the stuff of nightmares.

  3. I love Father Paul because he’s somehow both the antagonist AND the protagonist (honestly I still see Bev as the true antagonist because even Paul was kind of manipulated by her, even as he manipulates the whole town)

  4. 5. Midnight Mass
    4. Game of Thrones
    3. Firefly – I INCLUDE SERENITY AS THE LAST EPISODE AND YOU CANT STOP ME
    2. The X-Files
    1. Buffy The Vampire Slayer & Angel

What can I say? I’m a sucker for a monster of the week combined with sharp dialogue and deceptively deep characters

  5. Amos Burton turning to Danie Greene. "Expanse not number one on the list, Daniel?" Dramatic pause as Daniel realizes he effed up monumentally. Amos raises his weapon. "Expanse is that show."

  6. I watched Midnight Mass based on this video. It wasn't bad, but definitely not deserving of all the praise. Not better than TNG or BSG and certainly not #1. I was in disbelief as I watched and realized it was just another take on vampires, oh lawdy.

  7. I absolutely love TWIN PEAKS and would call it my favorite franchise ever, but I don't think of it as sci-fi. It's a definitely a genre-bender, but I feel all its trippy and weird moments lean more into the fantastical.

  8. I've actually never heard of Midnight Mass, so thanks for bringing it to my attention! My top 5 (unranked) would be Battlestar Galactica, LOST, Star Trek: TNG, The Leftovers and of course, Firefly!
