I agree with 8th place due to the Excalibur et al bandwagon and the stupid "OR I" Will make you religious crap the show spiralled down after 2 main characters departed and came back. Atlantis was ok, but the other, I don't even remember it's name.
In the end it was a great show and I've watched every show and spinoffs as well as a lot of the other stuff it's a great and awesome show. Love it.
I'm a scifier, not a Trekkie gater or a warsier, plain sci Fi in space as well as some other shows rock.

Who came up with this list? here is a better one 5 Star Trek, 4 Dr Who, 3 Stargate Atlantis, 2. Battlestar Galctica, 1. Stargate SG1 and farscape should have been in the top 10 and TNG should have been 10 or 9.

I don't get why people love firefly so much. Stargate SG-1 is to me the greatest Sci-Fi show ever. Only possibly matched by star trek tng.

Stargate deserves much higher than 8th. It at least deserves to be higher than BSG. BSG was good, but SG1/SGA/SGU blow it out of the water.

I guess because I grew up in the 70's and 80's, that Battlestar Galactica from those decades is what I enjoyed more than the remake.
