Wow! I'm really behind!!! I haven't been able to see Tim Black, or Jordan Chariton for ages. Never listened to HA, don't remember why, just never liked him. So I really don't know what's happening here. CAN'T FIND them. All the episodes I receive are ones I've already watched =—– ages ago!!!
Once again I'm watching your video without knowing what you're even talking about…
Your analysis are almost always very interesting and as so often spot on.
However, it is annoying that you can't explain what you are even talking about unless you've watched your 10 previous videos or other peoples videos.
I've watched 2 minutes of this video now, I have no clue of what situation you are talking about, neither do I know where to go in order to get info on it.
But that shouldn't even be a thing.
Please just start off the video with a short briefing and a reference.
I mean, if your video is going to be 26 minutes long anyways you might as well take a minute and explain what you are even talking about.
Integrity ….u are so right! We have Integrity …. they don't…those of us that had integrity during the election we are a special kind of American…
So there is a group of people would could not 'co-sign' on cheating, bold-face dishonesty and a sense of entitlement, arrogance and dismissiveness. That group acknowledge the importance/power of their vote. Something actually happened (above any other misdeeds in the election process). What can that group do now, economically, civilly or via any other avenue to affect a happening on the issues they, as a whole, have interests in?
Ive never seen someone make no point and just repeat himself over and over for 26 mins. Wow that’s 30mins I’ll never get back.
goodmans doing great work for his coprate masters in the huffpost.
Does the equation change if you consider that TYT has a significant enough reach that had they not begrudgingly supported Hillary, they might have significantly crippled HRC to the benefit of Trump. Their viewers would have been easy to convince not to vote Hillary, whereas they knew they'd probably persuade a not insignificant number to hold their noses and vote for her if they took the lead. I think they were wrong, but it was a tough enough call – especially with TYT's heightened responsibility- that it doesn't really bother me. Bernie was in a similar situation, and he made the same choice.
You really broke this down really well. I didn't realize how big of a deal this was. I've told people to take what information they need and to leave the drama out. I thought it was just drama drummed up by Jordan because maybe he was losing views he thought he deserved, or like you said the stigma attached to him based on his network. It's frightening to think progressives are boldly breaking off into different sections because compared to other parties, we weren't really that big to begin with.
im a republican but it hurt me to see what the dnc did to its members and i hope the law suit works out and some justice gets served up
the dnc elected trump as much as any voter noone wanted to sponsor what they did to bernie and his people they fucked em with no reach around and fuck the young turks cosign no thanks
dirty deeds done dirt cheap! that simple when you do dirt you get dirty the republicans were hacked but nobody knows that cause they werent doin dirt see how that works be the villain lose in the end
Do you have a degree in psychology?
WOW! Thank you for such a deep understanding and analysis of this issue. You made me think of things I never would have thought of on my own.
This is SPOT ON
My contribution to your argument is that voting out of fear was not the irrational choice. Fear doesn't have to be a pejorative, fear keeps people alive, that's why it's part of the human psyche.
I understand people had their principles for not voting for HRC, but people like me that are poor or check to check didn't really have the luxury of principled voting. I live in a suburb of Chicago, Illinois and a lot of people I know live within the Chicago land area and all were concerned about vital programs being cut and an economic collapse due to a moron bring president. This is the reality of the election, just look at the results. I won't judge people for not voting Clinton because I nearly didn't, but I still did only for one reason, she was the only sane choice that had a chance to win. That was my concern; I know she isn't close to a progressive but Jill stein was not going to win that election and I couldn't afford to go on principle.
My main gripe with the reasoning that some progressives espouse is that I'm not one for destroying a system totally, I'm for reformation of a system to work better for the people, people like myself.
Long story short, just because the choice of the election was fear based does not mean that there wasn't a clear choice.
Apologies if this was a bit disjointed, I'm a bit on the sleepy side but I'm hoping you get the gist of what I'm saying.

I understand that third party voters feel that they have a badge of honor. But it's wrong to assume that the integrity vote was the harder vote. I spent months unsure of who I would vote for. I voted for Clinton and I promise it was harder and didn't "feel good" like I know voting Stein would have. It wasn't integrity vs fear. It's like that train tracks thought experiment. A train is going down the tracks that will run over 10 people. They're all jerks and they're spitting at you. You can pull the switch to flip the tracks so the train will instead run over one racist man who's spitting at a Mexican. And I guess there's a "that was easy" button that's not hooked up to anything else. I made the choice to flip the switch. You hit the "that was easy" button. Either way, the switch was broken and everyone dies except the racist guy and now he's laughing at all of us while throwing rocks at Mexican children. And you're gloating about your how much integrity you have because those spitters were so rude. But I think Goodman's continued attacks are fracturing progressive. He's making Jordan's point for him. Goodman isn't pushing the progressive agenda. He's shitting on the left for clicks. He's either confused and doesn't know his enemies, our he's a wolf in sheep's clothing, actively trying to harm progressives.
I never bother commenting, but just wanted to say this is spot on. It is a hegemonic struggle; you explained the stakes better than anybody else out there.
here's my problem with your findings. you keep on coming back to the choice like YOU took the high road in the situation when its simply a false claim. progressives who voted for Hilary weren't just doing it 'out of fear", or at least, not all of them were. some did it because, in spite of personal integrity, the risk outweighed our emotions and personal pride on the matter and w UNDERSTOOD that when you elect a guy LIKE TRUMP into office, that COULD POTENTIALLY be the beginning of the end for democracy. say what you want about Hilary cheating, that was her biggest offence. cheating. trump on the other hand speaks like a dictator, rallied up a large group of people into a fascist like state of mind, and in general, WAS A THREAT to democracy as a whole.
to a LOT of people, the choice was less about fear as much as it was as a choice to swallow personal morals on the issue and go for a candidate who wouldn't outright end democracy, or call for an end of freedom of speech, or fight the American process tooth and nail as to tear down our sacred institutions. it was about the preservation of the right to choose between a cheater and a potential dictator. a fight to protect future generations, and not just our own sense of morality.
so don't act as if YOU took the high road because you didn't. you took the road that wouldn't bring your own morals into question as to serve a selfish agenda.
ffs put the pen down!!!!
My thoughts: Jordan explained clearly that he feels comfortable with TYT because they allow him to cover stories of importance even if those stories are unlikely to get many clicks. They pay his travel to places like Standing Rock and Flint where he is often the only national reporter witnessing the events. He also said he understood Cenk's support of Clinton even though he didn't agree. I don't know why any of that would be controversial. He also said some of H.A. Goodman's videos are little more than click-bait. I actually agree with that, but he's also made some high-quality videos. Jordan seems to think he is more professional in his reporting than H.A. Goodman and Tim Black. My feeling is that he shouldn't say that; let the viewers decide such things. They are all true progressives doing good work as the Democratic Party disintegrates.
Thank you for this very intelligent analysis.
Today, you have a fan in me brother. I subscribed to you channel 💚
First time I've seen this guy. Quite an insightful philosopher who speaks clearly and quite precisely. Good job!
Excellent analysis!
I have never had a time during this election where I felt like I had a choice. I only had 1 option, Jill stein. I just did not understand people saying they were going to choose the lesser of two evils. Evil is Evil. If there was a choice for me to be in between, it was sanders or stein. Sanders got pushed out, so stein was my only option. Can't see why people would vote trump when stein was waaaay closer to sanders, and would ultimately show the government how fed up we all were. I don't go to sleep feeling guilty in any way. I voted my conscience, that's all I can do as an American.
Instant fan and subscribed. We need to have discussions like this. Clear and real. Unswayed by mudslinging and with grounded understanding of the objective.
Jamarl brother, very well thought out analysis. But you got something wrong. This coming from an outsider, you said these people made a choice out of integrity, that they wouldn't reward someone who cheated them out of a candidate, yet they reward someone who is cheating the whole nation and they knew full well that this would be a likely outcome. Where is their integrity now? No this is not about integrity, this was pure childish resentment. Like a white girl born of a racist family sleeping with a black man because daddy won't buy her a new Mercedes. (I know, extreme analogy, but you know what I mean). Then instead of coming to terms and moving on like an adult, they engage in inflammatory behavior against anyone who doesn't agree with them. Or at least this is how I see it as someone who doesn't stand to gain or lose anything from this discussion.
Has anyone considered that Jimmy and Jordan can actually talk to Cenk, are not afraid of him, and have more information on weather Cenk has sold out to a higher power or not than the outsiders
HA is a bit unhinged, everyone who backed Bernie and then voted for Hillary after Bernie lost is a sellout? TYT is part of why Trump won? as if Hillary needed more excuses, lol. I cannot blame or make fun of anyone that simply felt Clinton was the lesser evil and they had to vote for her…..acting like this is a simple choice and everyone who voted Clinton is a sellout is insulting to many people
Interesting perspective brotha! I feel it
It was about SO much more than just being cheated. This primary exposed our 'Democracy' to be in nose dive, impact imminent. To vote for Hillary, was to concede to the will of the most powerful entities and that concession admitted we were no longer Democratic America. But a corporate state. To vote 3rd party, not at all, or for Trump was to resist the notion that America is no longer the home of the free. We refuse to be slaves while we can still fight back! I WANT MY DAMN MONEY BACK!
They live and vote in California, taking into account the electoral college, they could have taken a stand against corruption by voting third party, but they rather fell in line behind the establishment.
You are quite thoughtful and neutral. I appreciate that. My take is that TYT Network does not want there to be a fall out between Bernie Sanders and the DNC because if there is, then a line will be drawn. This means that TYT Network will then have to choose a side and alienate some of their viewers. I think what the network did during the primaries, after they exposed the corruption and the biased from the DNC, yet still supported the Democratic Party was disgusting (I realize that not all member supported Clinton). I donated money to Bernie Sanders and phone banked for him. Had I known that the primary election was rigged, I would have not given a dollar or second of my time. The fact that Genk kept telling us to vote for Clinton made me realize that they had no courage or integrity. I would understand if he still chose to vote for her, but to do mental gymnastics to justify his support and encouragement for viewers to vote for her was beyond low.
Again, (I've already left my soapbox on your last video, lol) I think Jordan had the right to defend himself and the company he works for after HA's attack. He did correct himself and said he didn't mean to mention Tim Black. Since Jordan's one video in his and TYT's defense, HA has made TEN. That's ridiculous.
Excellent,rational insight.
