My ump for my game today was calling low and inside balls as strikes but after every time someone got hit he called time and checked on us asking if we were okay and if we needed a drink. We need more like him

A lot of cats that haven't ever played baseball before like to say oh my God it's not even going that fast it's a small thing it can't hurt you that bad you have helmets for a reason but in actuality the batters actually driving himself towards the ball so not only do you have a let's say 80 mi an hour pitch coming at you but you just added that 5 mile an hour move getting smacked in the face with one of those I can't imagine but I've been hitting on with one of those literally turned yellow and purple
people like to hate on umps, but most of them are like this.
This is a bull$#!+ take.
There are thousands of examples where an attack on Umpires' knowledge & judgments are warranted. I hate the trend, predominantly from people who have never had the courage to attempt the endeavor, but I get it…many Umpires are inexperienced and unprepared to the level of their "caught on camera" efforts.
This post, however, is an attack on the profession's integrity and is uneducated at best. EVERY Umpire's human nature focuses efforts on protecting the safety of batters and catchers. This video is NOT the exception.
Great job by this Umpire, but EVERY Umpire does this to some extent.
