  1. I’m so happy Crystal Dynamics finally stepped up and fixed this game. The loot system is now airtight, the monetization is totally fair, and the endgame? Chef’s kiss. No more bugs, no more stutters, and best of all, matchmaking works every time — just like we knew it would. Honestly, it’s refreshing to see a live-service game take the feedback and finally stick the landing… four years after face-planting off the Helicarrier, we’re back in the sky with a renewed purpose and a bright future. Can’t wait to play it again tonight. Bravo Square Enix! You and Crystal Dynamics have both given me new hope for the future of live service games… dare I say all games too… Bravo! 🎉❤

  2. It’s really a pet peeve of mine when super heroes in the fictional universe are treated the same way they are in our universe: they have their own comics and action figures, and fan expos and fan fic contests. It’s so cringe and I hate it.

  3. There’s one think that turned me away from destiny.
99% of weapons require guardian kills, you are essentially Forced to go PVP to get a decent gun, or armor, and every time I even tried, it’s non stop sweats that ruin the fun for me.

  4. the loot scaling was atrocious. i did the first dlc mission, lagged out at the boss fight, respawned at like, level 15 because you keep your exp with lag outs, and hit a ridiculous wall since i had no gear on the second run and just couldn't damage the level 20ish boss

  5. if everyone steers clear of a live service game at launch, it wont be given the next few years to be fixed so players can return. that worked for destiny because there was enough of a hardcore player base that was willing to stick with it through rough times.

  6. I think there is an important lesson to be learned here. Companies that release a game early (before working out the kinks) or focus on monetization over game design also won’t put in the time to fix it in the long run. Profits over playability is a real thing and nothing will kill a game faster than that.

  7. Funny watching this 3yr later. He keeps talking about things that they'll go back and fix or add in later. When in reality they didn't do any of that and just opted to make it unavailable on any stores and shut the servers down haha.

  8. Not the bright future you were hoping for unfortunately. Now this game is de-listed and not even playable. I've never been a fan of the live service model. It never ceases to amaze me how studios make the same mistakes over and over again somehow thinking that "maybe this time will be different." I don't have time for games that are broken and buggy messes. Or if they are so fundamentally flawed that we just have to hope that maybe someday it will be better. Publishers and developers need to do better and release games that are actually finished. I have no problem with developers wanting to add more content over time. Just don't release 1/16th of a game for full price just so you can over monetize the crap out of everything else. It's completely shameless, greedy and predatory.

  9. What tf is it with modern games being designed for co-op, but then they don't scale down everything for single-player?!?! Like, games in the PS1 era figured this out!!! Even arcade games before that knew to scale enemies for single-player!!

Literally, all you have to do when taking a co-op designed game, and covering it into a FAIR single-player mode is to either:
    1. Keep the same number of enemies BUT, you halve every enemy's health, strength, damage, and all other stats,
    OR
    2. You keep the stats of all enemies the same, BUT you halve the number of enemies, and for single enemy boss fights you nerf their stats.

Either one of those 2 design techniques WORK and have been working for DECADES! Why is this so damn hard for modern devs to figure out!!! 🤦‍♀️
Wtf, Crystal Dynamics?! What is wrong with you?! This is an easy thing to code in comparison to the development of the entire fighting system. Both solutions just involve changing some numbers in the code for single-player… I just don't get how this isn't the standard; it's such an obvious thing to do! 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

  10. Anybody else find it odd that the indie devs of whatever media outlet they choose to work with are earning more respect than what AAA devs are pumping out these days? Not trying to shame or demean indie devs, but it is starting to sound like a bit of a problem when a single indie dev can outplay these million-dollar dev teams. Avengers, Saints Row, Anthem, and others are lying face down in their graves meanwhile Cult of the Lamb, Dredge, Pizza Tower, and even Lethal Company's DEMO are on top of the world.

  11. They took the look and equip system basically 1 to 1 from Destiny and forgot about the most important thing: fashion!
Those new gauntlets might be higher power, they might have perfect stats, but they look shite. And every piece of eqipment is seen on the player's character. The same for weapons. Lots of different types for different playstyles. The way you shoot isn't linked to your class.
And the most ironic thing, the game is done. It's over. They stopped it.
