That was at the Jackie Gleason Theater in Miami. Jackie's tag line was "Miami Beach Audiences is the greatest audience in the world". He would say that every night at the end of his tv show.
Seeing Rodney's live stand-up, you missed easily 1/3 of the jokes because you were laughing so hard, and he never stopped, even when heckled: Q: "Hey Rodney, what do you do for a living?" A: "I get guys for your sister, alright, thanks for slowing me down!" My favorite: "My wife's such a bad cook, the flies in the backyard took up a collection to fix the screen door to the kitchen." Cheers, –bd
This is probably late to tell you this one of the funniest skits he’s ever done. He stayed in the front of a band and he made the whole band laugh. They couldn’t play the song.
Most humor that is this old doesn’t age well. Many times, I found someone to be hilarious in the 80s or 90s, but now it sounds very dated … Not with Rodney, though. This bit is 53 YEARS OLD, and is UTTERLY BRILLIANT!!
Soo Goo – Haaaahaaahaaa!!! My wife attended a wedding at the Beverly Hilton in SoCal in about '91. She was in the lobby and Rodney approached her, asked her about the wedding, asked if she wanted to join him at the bar. She said yes and had a nice visit with him. A nice memory.
I just wanna say, buddy, that i think you are sorely underrated. You put on a great show. And there's never a dull moment. Props to you, brother. Keep up the great work!
Dude, DEFINITELY no need to apologize for thinking Rodney is (was) funny as a mofo!! The man was not only a riot, but his style (e.g. nervous energy, "no respect" persona, etc.) was/ (and is) unlike any other comic who lived. I was sad as hell when I heard Rodney had passed, because in addition to him being VERY funny, because of his rough upbringing in NYC he was known to BIG TIME help out fellow comics starting out, such as bringing then-unknown comics like Jim Carey, etc., to get in front of an audience at Rodney's comedy club.
@4:15 this is the style humor my wife deals with on a constant. So, the fact she hasn't put an ice pick through my heart, I think I can give a life lesson here. Behind every great man is a woman rolling her eyes. Over 20 years, her eyes have rolled more in her head than the Undertaker at Wrestlemania. #thatisall
Loved your comments . You truly nailed it. Especially the crowd comments. Thanks man YOU actually made Rodney funnier by laughing along with you!
rodney was one of the great ones……to laugh at his works is the greatest compliment to him
Check out the movie “Back to School” 😊
Dude, You must view Foster Brooks on Dean Martin's Celebrity Roasts.
It was a different time people knew how to relax and enjoy life
great original dangerfield material and wonderful reaction. he really hasn't changed much from 1970 til now. still the same, fast as a machine gun.
I'm Su Goo and I'm insulted by this man. I never said anything about a boat. College for my kids, yes, but boat no.
i grew up listening to RODNEY Dangerfield, he was the best. thanks for sharing🤣🤣🤣
Self-effacing comedy is the funniest, and Rodney was the King.
That was in a time before wokeism,PC when you could laugh at yourself and others and have fun

Rodney always has been great
The King of Stand Up
IMHO
One of the Best

Should watch Easy Money with Rodney and Joe Pesci.
Because they were in a democratic nation, we're supposed to take care of them.
I was 12 then. I still thought it was funny!
❤

he made a movie I think it was Rodney goes to College !
He rattles off joke after joke. And I have trouble just remembering one!
KING OF THE ONE LINERS
"Minus 7" 😂😂😂
My gf and I made a pact. We’d only smoke after sex. I’ve had the same pack since 2020, and she’s up to 3 packs a day. 😈
The cop fired 3 warning shots into the person he was warning……..that almost ended me

Rodney is the best
I love you young cats digging some ol' comedy.
Peace on earth.
He got even BETTER as the years went on. Rodney was a genius. I love your enthusiasm.
"I tell ya; my high school's football team was tough. After they sacked the quarterback, they went after his family!".
Brother, love these reactions
😀
Rodney dangerfield was the best. My favorite comic of all time. His one liners are legendary. No filth, or profanity needed.

And this isn't even his A material. He is a friggin comedic genius.
Interesting to see Rodney’s early stuff, you can see how he had worked on the delivery when he told the same jokes later.
good one

Glad you dig him, dude! 🙂

I don't get any respect. Went to the dentist and told him I had yellow teeth. He said wear a brown tie.
🧐🙄 Cancelled for what!!??🤔 You didn't say it!!🤨
That's a good question. Why do miserable people go to a comedy club? And why do the jokers go to see a serious play? What were they, a breech birth?
OOPS 6 parts one is Machinegun. On Youtube'
