  1. This is absolutely beautiful. It isn't just candy. It's one part history, one part science, and other equal parts of art, technique, and a delightful dash of whimsy. I love hearing about all the artifacts that go into making these charming treats, as well as the history of why they were created. Making food and especially treats is a lesson in culture and identity, crafted through thousands of years of human civilization, delivered to us in a bite-sized package.

  2. I follow and have followed Greg Cohen personal channel for years and it's so refreshing to see him getting the credit he deserves. I still remember him buying and fixing the drop candy model!

  3. Started out great, I was getting a bit tired of his flowery exposition by the corn, and ready to smash his face in by the time he started jerking himself off to his ham candy. He was also wrong about a couple of things.

    1. Candy can absolutely trap air, that's whole point of pulling. He outed himself as a dummy trying to explain how to "carbonize" candy.

    2. Apple cider is not carbonated…. TF? Hard cider is, but 99% of non alcoholics do not think of hard cider when they hear "Apple cider"

    3. Banana is an incredibly potent flavor, maybe he's just never made banana candy?? Because I'm a nonce and I made banana candy in high school and it was like you just deep throated a banana

  4. This presentation was spot on- this guy not only makes me want to come try the candy but its as if I couldn't have anything other than a great experience because- BRAVO!

  5. Greg is a true master of the craft. I started watching his channel around a decade ago and he's always a joy to watch because his videos will often be one certain flavor of candy as the main feature, and a whole history lesson just as a fun bonus for watching and listening.

  6. I'm behind a year but I'm so glad to see they had Greg on for this. I need to catch up with everything going on there as well! Any trip to Florida needs to have a stop at his shop.

  7. This video is seriously painting eating kilograms of sugar as a good and heartwarming thing. That man is feeding people pure poison. Of course, he's fat and unhealthy himself. The way these things are nornalised is disgusting. Think of sugar as tobacco. When you give your kids a candy bar, it's like giving them a cigarette. Not so normal now, isn't it? And that's not an exaggeration. It really IS that harmful.
For those who don't understand why, this is why RFK Jr. became health secretary. Go keto or get obesity, diabetes and heart attacks. It's your choice.
