A face hugger is a reference to the first iteration of the alien in the first "Alien" movie. The one that would grab the astronauts face while laying an egg or baby alien down the throat of the host/astronaut that would birth themselves from the host by biting through the hosts chest.

Facehugger: From the movie Alien, well the franchise there's multiple movies but alien was the first, then aliens, then I think number three. There is an alien versus predator movie. There's two or three others I believe but it hatches from an egg, it shoots out of the egg and wraps itself around the face of a human, it has acid for blood, you can't pull it off you can't cut it off otherwise the acid will just eat through anything any kind of metal, flesh. It lays an egg through the person's mouth and down their esophagus. The egg grows until it eventually hatches, then it burst out of the human's chest. At this point in time it's a completely different creature, it still has acid for blood, but it grows to be extremely large and it's extremely deadly

You asked about scorpions I live in Florida and have been stung several times. Hurts yes, but obviously was not fatal. For me pain was similar to a bee sting, but it lasted a lot longer , about 24 hours . There are over 1,000 different species of scorpions , some are way more venomous than others. The ones native to the USA are not as toxic as those in Africa and South America and the Mid-east. But if you are a child, elderly , or stung multiple times or are allergic to them then yes it could be fatal

Im no expert, but , I've heard that the small scorpions are the ones that are most deadly.. like the Indian red.. they are tiny but carry a big bite.. the deathstalker scorpion has a cocktail of neurotoxins that can injure or off you.. I do my best to never be around them.. I'm on the east coast and thank God we don't have them! Like you, I only want to read about them, not see one in person…

It's the creature that wraps around one's face and inserts its tail into the victims mouth and down the throat. Then deposits one or more alien zygotes into their belly and a few hours later… pop! alien baby born.
