  1. Ive been training for a little bit now not a pro by any means but any one else feel awkward throwing jabs stationary? I find that naturally i tend to take a step every time i jab and when my coach tells me “no just fire from there dont move” i can do it it just feel a bit weird

  2. Noone stand like that, thats to blade even for fckn taekwondo 😭 I mean yes it looks good but only thing you can throw from it is jab or sidekick, are you boxing coach or kicboxing or? There can be situations in boxing where fighters stand like that, specially light weights, but just as transition in context, but outside of that its total nonsence 🤷🏻‍♂️ when you switched to freestyle suddenly you sre in compeltely different wider more square stence

  3. The boxing stance is SO wide, I just realized how wide it is compared to like a Muay Thai stance (I’m not bashing the boxers stance I just find it pretty interesting how wide a boxing stance is and it’s something imma pay more attention too lol)

  4. Stepping with the jab is normally ew. That's essentially ancient Jack Dempsey ate stuff.
All you need is a slight tilt of hips.
Unless you are looking to apply more power or you are seeking to create feints like Usyk. Then sure, throw a stepping jab.
"Piiter-patter" your jab. Different degrees of speed and power. Present different timings and outcomes to your opponent.
You can then create the opportunities to counterstrike that you want or create an oppressive offence that debilitates your opponent.

  5. 90% of the folks would improve their jab when they start thinking that jab or any punch for that matter doesn’t end when it makes contact but when they get back into their guard after throwing them and all of these movements from throwing to getting back in to guard needs to be as fast and efficient as possible. Too often people train their punches until point of contact and forget about getting back to their guard and the fact that the opponent is also looking for opening just as they are
