  1. If you are a believer or a skeptic when it comes to this case, I want to hear from you either way. What do you make of this one? Do you have any theories on what exactly took place here?

  2. I believe something happened. Or rather, multiple things probably happened. There might have been a weird draft, infrasound, some sort of resonance, a gas leak, the house settling, a waking dream, a tiny earthquake, forgetfulness, vermin in the walls, tainted food, tainted water, the cat being a little rascal, or something else of that sort. Or it could have been ghosts or demons. Then the power of suggestion, mass hysteria, and the little girl playing pranks/seeking attention all came into play to make everything worse. And then the Warrens arrived to ruin lives for clout.

  3. I've become so disappointed in the Warrens watching this channel. I used to look up to them as someone who has had multiple paranormal experiences and a talent for mediumship. Just breaks my heart that they were full of shit. Makes those of us who are sincere look insane or phony.

  4. The incessant demand of the poltergeist to keep the tv face down reminds me of my mom’s stories of a poltergeist that loved to prank her when she was pregnant with me. It loved to make all the furniture and shoes face on specific direction and took the chance when she was out of the room to move them. It started out doing it maybe once every couple weeks, but by the time she was 9 months it would do it every time she needed to go to the bathroom, which anyone who’s been pregnant can tell you is around every ten minutes.

Never made a sound. She’d go pee with the furniture facing, say, north, and come back to everything and her shoes facing south.

  6. Damn, I was so confused by that girl's name untill I saw it written, usually it's pronounced Márcia with the explosive spillable in the first one since it's a Spanish/Italian name I believe

  7. I have heard it said that children going into adolescence are frequently the cause (though not consciously) of poltergeist activity. Any one ever hear of Crump?

  8. I grew up being told what incredible demonologist and paranormal investigators the warrens were
It wasn't until a couple of years ago that I started seeing videos on YouTube that the pair were actually for the most part charlatans.
It threw into doubt so many dozens of stories that I had believed or at least seriously entertain the possibility of them being actual events

  9. From the vague information I've read about Marcia it seemed like no one claimed themselves as next of kin or took her ashes after her death. Seems like even at death she was all alone. I read that neither of her adoptive parents mentioned her in their obituaries which is pretty sad. That being said, screw Ed and Lorraine Warren.

  10. I want to believe the Warrens at least started their ministry (career?) genuinely trying to help people. (Yes, I know, I look for the good in everyone whether it’s there or not. 🤷🏻‍♀️) But it’s uncomfortably clear that their focus progressively shifted to fame and fortune with each case I’ve heard over the years.
I guess that’s human nature, but I wonder if they were even still trying to help anyone but themselves after a while. Just hurts my heart to think of terrified people thinking their prayers have been answered and their torment will end by putting their trust in them. 😢

  11. It sounds to me like there was demonic activity there at the house but also that the girl joined in for attention which complicated everything. If she was in the basement talking to police when things were happening upstairs it couldn't have all been her. I've listened to a few different exorcists talk about family curses and also how some families dedicate their children to a family "familiar" which is a demon the family worships. It's a mutual agreement between the spirit and family. They worship the demon and give their children to it and it provides them things they need and desire. We don't know what her birth family was into but it sounds like someone, whether it was the girl, her birth family or her adoptive parents, opened a door and let these things in. Many times someone has dabbled in the occult and that's how the door is opened that's why it's important to stay away from Ouija boards and things like that, I know from personal experience unfortunately. As far as the Warrens go, I read their books after my experience and they knew what they were talking about. They were human though and I'm sure made many mistakes but I think they meant well.

  12. How exactly does the little girl slide the refrigerator out. Or fling objects at people without her being in the room? That's nonsense. Adults clearly had to be involved.

  13. They should have told that kid not to keep sitting in the recliner. Putting the tv back on the high shelf sounded less than ideal as well. And fancy telling them to leave all the stuff it chucks about on the floor. Living with a poltergeist necessitates enhanced safety measures, not less. I guess that's how things were in the 70s.

  14. There's a book called Wicked Bridgeport which states that at a time Mayor Barnum had a whole cemetery moved, with bones falling out from chariots, in order to make place for areas to build houses. The area which is now the corner of Iranistan and Fairfield Avenues. I lived in Bridgeport for six years as a young pizza delivery girl, and I distinctively remember driving by Anson street and noticing an area that resembled an abandoned cemetery. I am now in my 50's and happy I am away from that place.

  15. Love or hate the Warrens, and I am not a fan, when they became involved with situations things did have a way of escalating and becoming more confused. I don't know if you've seen Ed's famous outburst on American TV when he was questioned by someone – whatever their talents may have been they did work people and for me that casts a shadow over their cases. As for the merits of this particular case? The child was clearly unhappy but whether she caused the entire thing is…unlikely, in my view. The energy spoken of? We produce all sorts of energies – if you realise something particularly powerful in your life, that can often come with a lot of energy and make you tired when the process is over. Can energy of the kind mentioned here exist, that can affect things outside of the body? I see no absolute reason why not, but again the burden of proof would be enormous and science wouldnt necessarily be the lens to see it through. Nor would religion, necessarily – energies don't have to be spiritual, I think that particular link is too often taken for granted. Its an interesting case, as much from a psychological aspect as anything else. 🙂

  16. I have listened/watched this video numerous times and one thought kept niggling at me. I wonder what Marcia had to say when she grew up. I wish she had written her account of what happened. All of this paranormal things happened when she entered the Goodin's lives.
