I've also heard a similar sound in 2011-2012, I forget the year. It was in Saskatoon, SK. The only way I could describe it then is what I imagine a submarine to sound like, if that makes any sense.

Centuries ago they used to paint little angels blowing trumpets. This is how they explained these sounds back then.
I live near an airport and they have a de-icing machine for the runway that sounds different from a grader or plow but like the videos

i heard a lower, erie sounding hum sound around 3am about 10 minutes outside of Olds, AB. It was 3am, the wind was blowing but this was very distinctly not trees or something in the wind. It was a low sounding hum that would come and go within a 5-10 minute time span. It woke me from my sleep, and I thought maybe I was still sort of sleeping when it happened. I came to work the next day, and without mentioning anything at all from what I experienced, my co-worker who lives in town, over 10 km away, had heard the same thing around the same time. For her, she was awake enough to get up and look around, and said at times it sounded like it was saying "mom". While I didn't hear clear audible words, it definitely sounded more erie and cosmic, vs. the higher pitched sounds in some of these videos. We are also not near a body of water, or frozen water. I do know what ice and ice movement can sound like, it was nothing like this.

One thing has to be mentioned as well, sound tends to distort in weird ways over long distances. Also not something that somebody would hear naturally, but some devices make weird noises because of RF communication. Wifi is a regular clicking, cellular is a low bassy noise with occasional high-ish beeping when on a call.
If these are simply the sounds of industry, it's unacceptable and it needs to be completely overhauled.

Its the government drilling tunnels under the earth….. we're hearing the vibrations from w.e type of rock they're drilling through…

Headphones Recommended. I recorded these sounds back in 2013. They were so loud that I felt the sound in my chest. Like being at a concert. YouTube took down my video stating I was buying views. Another words, paying people to view my video. I found out later, that some of these video, that were loud, were also taken down. I was told that I was the closest person to these sounds.

The river valley would help sound travel, it could have been way further away, there are water treatment plants down there, trains throughout the city, and snow ploughs graters etc. I think they all sound caused by industry

My parents said they heard crazy sounds one night before the Conklin video many many years ago. I still remember because there were other people in Fort McMurray that said it and after a month or so I googled it and found the Conklin video.

I remember reports of these sounds in the early 2000s. I heard something like this but I'm certain it was several outdoor electrical wire hums. I've heard various theories from the book of revelation trumpets to underground tunnelling to even sky whales. It's certainly strange.

And speakers are also being played within city around specific buildings. I discovered this back a couple years before covid after hearing distress calls of mainly birds around certain buildings such and a location for rcmp veichle parking and private gov buildings … i was disturbed by how loud they were and how much/when theyd play so I was determined to know learn why the heck is this going on. turns out they (the government/buildings) were using speakers for playing loud audio of distressing sounds to deter birds like magpies and ravens from the area… which is fair for formacmurry. But what i thought was disturbing about these locations before i understood it was just speakers was that you never see anyone walking on sidewalks around never through parking lots never people around . Just parked veichles. Although ive seen people on opoiste side walks of these places. The intention behind the speakers theory is that it will eventually lead to the avoidance of the area naturally …….. thankfully they only did this for a year or two and then i never noticed it again, they build a bus station nearby even. my Nanna worked for the city of Edmonton closley with various elected officals and leaders over many year.. she told me they too have been experimenting with diffrent tactics to deter criminals mainly but also junkies, teenagers and homeless from loitering, hanging out and fking around places like an underground parakade for example… and they once used security lights that many people would be familiar seeing at schools in night where they turn on randomly and off randomly without a distinguished pattern to make it appear that someone has turned on the light . But once peole become aware they become immune and so they are searching for new subtle tatics.. i know she said in stairways of multy level parkades they were doing a trial with the color of lights, that woukd make a person in the stair well have a really sickly looking appearence of skin color like a hardly noticable hue of green and strategically placed so facail features appear heavyly shaddowed and grim… this was targeted at junkies and trial was at locations with problamatic teenager groups.. there was a handful of reasons why the decided those specific locations one idea being that when they are trying to get drunk and high theyll notice that they don't look well or good especially with selfie taking..unflattering at best.. and they will likely notice the effect sooner and respond with changed behaviours easier.
as for the sound phenomenon these speakers are really wild… gives a dystopia vibe or george Orwell…

I recognize the sound from the balcony on the river valley in 2012, it's very rusty old train cars, when the train is moving very slow. I grew up with it in Windsor Ontario. In the dead silence of night the protest of screeching metal. Scared the shit out of me. It's very dry here compared to moist Windsor, with the world's most railway crossings, there's a lot of noise, from creaking to screeching of very rusty metal. Also foundries make this sound.
I do know the colder the air is, the more amplified some sounds can, but still some sounds are still unexplainable.
Tree's can make sounds from a mixture of wind and sound. The air and a mixture of sounds can sound like you never heard.

There are so many River Valley stories and (hopefully) legends. Most of these were told to me while going for walks down there with friends just a little later at night than we should have been out. This just showed up on my feed randomly, and it was kinda fun seeing my past fun zone again! 🙂
I live in North West Edmonton… Near the edge. On several occasions it will be early in the morning roughly around 1:00 am. Iwas able to hear the sound of what seems to be metal on metal grinding against itself. And there is a train track North of where I'm at. And sometimes I wonder if it's the sound of the train grinding on the track. And as I think back to the last time I heard a train going by on the tracks it did not give off the same sound. The sound that comes in the middle of the night like metal on metal is in a way that you do not know where the sound is coming from, it sounds like it is coming from everywhere.
My problem with the strange sound videos is .. how hard would it be for almost anyone to play a weird tone over a speaker, point their phone camera at the sky and pretend they don't know where it's coming from? And some of the videos really sound like it's just a nearby speaker at a loud volume .. it seems incredibly easy to fake

I live near Calgary close to the mountains just 20mins west of Cochrane i heard what i thought it was a police car sirens 🚨 but it wasnt i recorded it that sound was frm outside my backyard then slowly going down i heard dogs barking idk maybe Bigfoot but god damn it was scary asf

I follow a local comedian on Instagram. He frequently talks about Bigfoot and looking for them. He often says he gets folded by bigfoot. He may be frequenting the river valley in search of bigfoot (he does use various items as bait, including weird sounds). Just a thought…
Ah, the "sky trumpets". Similar sounds have been recorded around the world. And those countries would not have snow plows.
So I can tell conclusively that the "calgary hum" is actually nothing more than the diesel freight trains that go into the downtown area. There was a series of news pieces done on the "windsor hum" and it turned out the people in the United States were being deceptive about what was going on an industrial island called Zug island that had a massive diesel engine whose harmonics would cause low frequency vibrations for miles.
Do some searches on it when Zug island was shut down, the hum stopped. Diesel engines have a resonance that can carry for miles.
I hear it in BC too at times. I thought it might be rail related or underground boring, maybe sky quakes, but some of the sounds don't really line up with those theories. Also, why wasn't this heard before the last 10-12 years? Even if people weren't recording it before this time, it wouldn't seem like a new phenomenon now because we would have heard it previously at some point. Not to mention, it's worldwide and becoming more frequent it seems. I know it sounds crazy to some, but the veil between the natural and spiritual realm is thinning. Reminds me of the sounds captured from under the Euphrates that many believe to be fallen angels spoken of in the bible. It may be a different phenomenon, but with a similar explanation.
