    0:20 – For his total volume, the percentages won’t add up to 100% because some exercises target multiple muscles. I also didn't include every muscle in this graph — see the spreadsheet above for a more detailed breakdown.

    10:07 – When I report his rep ranges, I am referring to his full range of motion reps only. After Sam exhausts a full range of motion, he often does upwards of 5-7 more partial reps. I didn’t include these as normal reps when counting rep ranges because they would technically be beyond “task failure” as defined in the literature. It also seems wrong to count a 1/10th ROM rep as an “actual rep” so I had to draw the line somewhere.

  2. Weirdly enough I never even heard of Jeff Nipply until he made a video about Sam. I think these YouTubers who make Sam content should say thank you every time they cash a YT check.

  3. If SS wasn't juicing, he would likely be a good 30-50 pounds smaller and wouldn't even have a million subs. I can't understand why he went viral other than people naively thinking he's natty.

I guess Sam knows more than you though Jeff because as stated in another video steroid use grow muscle to fast and the connective tissue can’t keep up contributing to serious injury so the fact he misses the full range of motion is actually helping he stay heavy on sets while reducing his injury rate. So he’s should be AAA+.

  5. Sam is one the people I watch that out of all kept me going in the gym becuase he’s so happy and positive and I wanted be like that too
    Now I love going to the gym more than ever
    I also know I will never be his size and I’m okay with that

  6. You admittedly stated that you were not able to analyze his diet, but you were able to analyze his workouts. What is equally as important is analyzing his anabolic steroid use. Plenty of men work out extremely hard and have an excellent diet, but they don't get anywhere near the size and strength they would get if they utilized anabolic steroids. It always amazes me that men on anabolic steroids will tell you it's all about the diet and how hard they work out. Funny thing is whenever working out hard and having a good diet didn't work for them, they got on anabolic steroids and then got huge. Once they get on anabolic steroids and get huge, they will tell you it's all about the diet and exercise and not the anabolics

  7. Jeff be giving pencil-neck jimmy an A+ for doing slow reps with big stretches, even tho he’s a pencil-neck.

    All the studies he cites are all about averages, but if you have a specific data point (Sam Sulek) who is getting the results he wants with a specific regiment which differs from the info from averages, then it seems like they don’t need the information from datasets which are averaging over the population

  8. he thing I firmly believe is that on the day if your workout you'll get a pump but you can not actually grow if you are natural so to my way if knowing it makes no sense what so ever to train in consecutive days even if its a different muscle.

  9. A major factor and the elephant in the room is the controversial pharmaceuticals that’s behind his “shocking science” training gains – which is not shocking at all. And I’m sure the controversial pharmaceutical industry loves Sam Sulek.

  10. 6 sets per muscle should be enough for muscle growth?? wow that sounds like too little no? thats like a total of 60 reps per workout..(10*6). so u can choose 2 sets on 3 different exercises of chest, and you should be good to go? ( of course maybe repeat this again in 3 days)

  11. I like these videos cause there talking about optimal muscle growth while play vids of Sam with crazy amount of weight and him looking fucking huge

  12. The more data and studies we see the smaller men are getting in the gym. 30 years ago nobody was listening to all these data and men were jacked
