In the King James Version of the Bible, Ephesians 6:12 says, "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places".
Only the kjv Bible is the inspired word of God!
Principalities, powers, rulers, are the ranks of evil spirits. I have never read that God's angels were called these things. Stop adding to the Word!
Angels are in fact mysterious celestial beings and even though they’re invisible, they can in fact make a divine intervention on behalf of human beings and tell the evil angels to leave and to trouble the human beings no more. For example when my older brother was troubling me by calling me and wouldn’t leave me and he almost made me lose my sanity but as I began to pray to my patron, Saint Michael the archangel and I told him that my older brother was troubling and trying to provoke me, he began to intercede for me and he told my older brother to leave me alone and trouble me no more.

The term "angel" can also just mean holy messenger, thus humans themselves can fulfil this category if they are deemed to be transmitting a holy message. While there may be supernatural entities that are angels, an angel in scripture may be mortal as well. it is entirely possible that the angel that defies worship is actually a human.

If David had previous skill and training with a sling, then he would easily be capable of killing any man with such a weapon. A sling in the hands of a trained user could be equivalent to what we now consider "small arms", or a pistol. History records that Roman troops were exceptionally accurate with such weapons.
There is no need to attribute David with supernatural powers, his every day power would be good enough.
