  1. The hard work, long hours, the very soul of an artist that goes into creating something is as important as the finished work itself. Just typing keywords skips all that heart and that is why AI art will be attractive but will always be missing ''soul'', that indefinable element that makes you sometimes connect with, when you experience an artist's work, be they professional, amateur or kid in school. You FEEL what they felt and what was born into the art whilst it was being created. AI just doesn't have that from what I have seen. I'm not against this technology, just don't type a few keywords and then call yourself an artist.

  2. There is something much worse than job loss that you didn’t talk about. See these tools are new now so people are excited about them. But eventually people will be trained that art is generated and so meaningless. No one will be excited about art. And also no one will believe anything posted. People will generally assume everything posted is fake. What does that do to society? All the boomers who fall for AI will be gone and we will be left with a culture where no one cares about anything because it’s most likely fake.

  3. it's insane how in two years time i'm literally not impressed by dall-e and ai art anymore, only annoyed at seeing it. this video reminded me how amazed i was when it first started coming out, even with LLMs like chatGPT

  4. What is created is ideas without skill what’s the point. A lot of what you all created looks like art created by commercial artists that started during the 1890 and appeared in magazines for 70 years until the start of the slow decline of the printed magazine.

  5. So sweet you don’t even mention environmental impact of AI .Gen AI causes massive carbon emissions and companies own these algorythyms spends gallons of water so they can cool down their data centers for what, greedy rich man can have even more money. For what price exactly? We really need to leave this bias of new technology will always change the world for better, that it is always going to be fine, new opportunities will come out for what is lost. Some technologies can be very dangerous if they are not regulated.I dont even wan to talk about pliagrism and ethical issues about GenAI.All ı want to say that don’t give up to fight.İt is not over yet, we can still get it under control until it is too late.Raise awareness folks ❤

  6. I think the biggest, and most understandable concern, is that an artist that creates from scratch (i.e. traditional art) whether using software (i.e. Procreate) or paper are going to lose their jobs because why would a company pay for an artist to create when they can just get AI to do it for free. This will kill off human creativity in my mind in this space and art will become just a hobby 🙁 Anyone creating art using AI is NOT creating art, they're typing a few keywords into a prompt and that AI is creating the art for them.

  7. art is basically free to make you dont need a degree in it to be good at it all you need is paper and a pencil you can get 500 pieces of paper on amazon for 7euros and also on amazon 150 pencils costs 16 euros so you dont need that much money for it

  8. 8:36 to quote the maker of studio ghibli in his words ai is quote "utterly disgusting" and "an insult to life itself." also quote "never wish to incorporate this technology into [his] work at all"

  9. The issue I have with AI generated art is it’s not intentional. When an artist puts paint to canvas/paper etc every stroke is intentional. You can see the movement of a brush, the thickness of the paint. There are so many different ways to appreciate a painting done by a human being, because it is an expression of someone’s soul. AI can generate images from prompts and commands typed. Some sociologists think that the next generation will have more exposure to AI generated imagery and music and that will be the norm. It’s sad

  10. The concerns that AI will replace jobs is really stupid. It's like saying, don't use an excavator, just hire 1000 people with shovels instead. All technology makes things faster, simpler, better and replaces jobs. The thing is that it always creates new jobs that didn't exist before, makes people more productive and makes the world a better place.
