  1. deadlift my ass. Maybe if you deadlift and somehow shrug and or do a rowing motion at the same time otherwise your basically hanging the weight from.your arms and stretching your back muscle and traps wich will activate them a bit and i'm sure is effective for some anadrol freak powerlifter but for an average person youve got to pull with your traps back muscles, biceps and rear delts to build your back.
