Bolt action is best all ‘round gun in the game.

Varmint is the best
To me the best gun is the bolt action. With the right ammo it can 1 shot kill most players with a chest shot
My guns degrade way to fast now after the patch. I mean in one game day it goes down 3 bars while holstered
They also should release a musket and musket pistol. And possibly an 1985 repeating sniper rifle while holds 5 rounds firing 30-06
Reloads should be slowed down for realism. And to make the game more challenging. Actions should also be slowed down for this effect. Yet rockstar fails to accept you can't rechamber a bolt action rifle in half a second
1.40 finally Bolt action .done…thought it would be varmint with explosive
I love the bolt action! Have been using it since day 1 really. I’ve always wondered why more people didn’t like it. Especially after the update. I’ve tried other weapons and keep going back to the bold action rifle.
Funnily enough without noticing any changes this has been my go to weapon since Frontier Pursuits when I started playing again. I love it!
Duel wield lemats one with slugs and one with buckshot
Lancaster repeater in hand
Pump action on back with buckshot
Knife in melee
Dynamite in throwables
The Carcano sniper also is one of the best for me they majorly improved the sniping mechanics reload speed better handling and less sway when looking threw the scoop
I prefer the springfield
Dude you must suck so much for not knowing how to use the bolt action rifle, since the online was released this was the best weapon in the game.
Bow with dynamite arrows is best

Idk if it was u or anotjer ch that did a similar thing any way It was way out of date but most recent I could find! And I wasted ALL my $on it and turns out the varmit rifle is piece a shit! Ffs its a .22 it sucks at killing animals ffs wish I never bought it the gun I started with works BETTER ffs I just added a scope and cool looks not realising it cost more that way.
Damn I've been using the Bolt ever since… forever 😂 never needed any other rifle although I do have them. The moment I unlocked I never switched.

Rdr2 is filled with haters. Problem is rockstar is going to listen to all the complaining and negative feedback and make a game built for kids. Yes some things need to be fixed but all the crybabies need stfu. Plus videos giving away tips shouldn't be on YouTube force people to communicate in game to learn how to play.

Evans Lancaster and carcano rifle are for me
The venerable Krag- Jørgensen rifle. .30-40 Krag round was advanced for its time. Eventually it was superceded by the mauser design copied in the M1903 Springfield firing the .30-03 round, which was updated to the modern .30-06 round in 1906.
That was my favorite gun in the beginning and , I feel I love it all over again plus the skin with skulls n bones looks epic too .
I have been using the bolt action more for hunting as I do my trader role. I have all three roles up to rank 5 currently. I want to move them all evenly so I hit rank 20 with all of them around the same time.
