It's crazy to me that the building owner cared more about the damages than the guy struggling for his life in the car.
15 years ago, a girl swerved into me totaling my car, her car flew down a ditch ending up on the roof. I didn't think about my car for a second, all I could think about was to call for help and get down there to help the person in the other car.
My car is replaceable, someone's life isn't.
