  23. There are a few people who were extremely blessed to interact with Jesus in unimaginable closeness. Many were women. This woman probably did not know scripture since women didn't study the scriptures then but she put to work here, an act of infinite thankfulness for the beautiful, boundless love of our selfless Savior. How pure her heart was, how deeply her act penetrated history.

    This is not in scripture but I meditate on often. When Jesus was climbing up to his crucifixion he was silently repeating the names of all who would be saved by that sacrifice.
