My car window glass got stuck in the winter due to icy conditions, I did a stupid thing, I pushed the button trying to lower my window, but the window didn't go down, then I forgot it, one day when I was driving the window glass suddenly fell down into the door. That was winter, I have to drive about 20 miles to get home, One side of my face was very red by the wind blasting.
BUT HOW DID THE VAN SLIDING DOOR SO GOOD?? I WONDER WHATS THE ENGINEERING PROCESS BEHIND ITS EFFICIENT FUNCTION

So this is almost perfect, for what I was looking for in terms of mechanics, not only did my window get off track, the scissor part of the frame bent 45° and messed my whole window up. I took off my door trim and bent it back as straight as possible with channel locks, I clipped it back in because the clip fell out the sliders, and it works and it’s on track, but it takes five times to push my button for it to roll up. Should i of just replaced the X frame? Also, what would that cost?
