  1. Wow, how I have seen just now? This video is brilliant. Kudos to you for standing up and pointing out this fascist pipeline, even though many gymbros probably cried wolf. You put it together wonderfully. My only criticism is toward disdaining Jung. I think his work is very inspiring, but he should be viewed more as a philospher, than a psychologist.

  2. 4:13

If you're an able bodied man at the head of a household then it's your responsibility to protect your family. If you have chosen to be weak out of laziness then it is morally wrong. Imagine if something terrible happened to your family and it could have been prevented if you were strong. Being prepared to protect your family is loving and morally upright.

  3. I am mostly much on board with that… except with the the statement that nobody ever took Jung seriously. There are still Jungian therapists… many people say they got great insight from his writings. Jung was a deep thinker, and what's more, very rare in this field, a deep "feeler". He was great in exploring the subjective world of human experience. His writings and interviews are full of genuine compassion for human beeings and gentle, humble thoughts. And because of that Peterson will never be able to understand Jung, he is the polar opposite to all that. Peterson's representation of Jung's ideas is absolutely ridiculous. Jung would not have stood for any of this "dominance and order" sh…

  4. One of the big problems I see, and it's from all generations and all genders.

People thinking that their opinion should matter to other people.

People who think their way (opinion, thought pattern) is the only right way. This means that if you don't agree then you are wrong.

I find they often don't understand or forget that science, which is the search for knowledge, is all about what we believe to be true at this stage with our current understanding.

If you and I have a different opinion on something, and we both want to discuss it, my job is to share my opinions in a way that gives you the chance to understand it properly. It's not to change your mind, it's not to "win" the conversation.
It is also my responsibility to listen and understand you and check that I understand you properly because you might be right and might have something I can learn.

I love to learn so I'm happy to presume that what I currently know and believe to be true may have to evolve because it might not be true and I could be wrong.

  5. Recent viewer here. I've been getting a lot of useful information from your videos, and have binged watched quite a few of them over the last week or so. Thanks for what you do – it's very helpful.
Thanks also for this video, which I appreciate greatly, and which I know you must have received a lot of flak for. Subscribed.

  6. I start training 15 years ago, back then I was still living in Bulgaria. There was no red pill/blue pill, alpha, beta bullshit. We were 15-16 years old teenegars, who enjoyed lifting weights after school. Everything was so simpler back then, no social media pressure, no influencers. I miss those days.

  7. Maybe this type of fitness culture has become some form of escapism…
Thank you for your, as always, down to earth views. Fitness has to have a purpose for me, but it’s important to be reminded of this now and again.

As an aside – I cheer inwardly more for the unfit guy that came to the gym at all than the muscle-bound bro waiting for the cable pull.

  8. Jordan peterson doesn't deny the gener pay gap. He denies that it's cause is sexism, rather he explains the multiple reasons why it exists. Job choice, hours worked. None of the 'patriarcy' nonsense that people talk about. It's literally illegal to pay someone less because of there gender. You should do better research, not the quality of your usual videos. Can hear the idiological bias along with see it in the way you represented your opposition in argument. At the very least don't misrepresent people because you disagree with them, it hurts the usual quality of the content i've come to expect to see on your channel.

  9. You gave a seriously nuanced and unbiased take on these issues and someone needed to say it and I'm glad you did .Fitness btw should be for everyone , no one should feel excluded because of their gender ,sex or sexual orientation, race ,nation of origin, religion or even political views .I know we aren't going to agree on everything but the lack of empathy ,division and hate some people have ( especially towards immigrants ,LGBT ,women, minorities )is ridiculous, sad and angering actually.I'm left politically speaking but I am not a Democrat or a republican of course , however I think there needs to be less division in the world ,listening to each other is important .

  10. Disappointed with quite a few of the comments here. Climate change is real, for those who “disagree with it”, you Cant, it’s scientifically proven, you’re just stubborn. Society is not becoming feminized, people are just more emotionally open, which is not the bad thing y’all seem to think it is.

  11. Red pill fitness sounds like political charged nomenclature. Not a big fan of fitness people talking politics. I dropped Alex Bromley for doing the same thing. That being said. Being strong to protect your family isn’t a bad thing. Imagine being surrounded by gang members or high crime and this man up subject becomes real. Your position sounds just as pretentious as a man like tate. Not taking account for different situations is very narrow minded.

  12. I dont know if you read this comment (especially since its pretty late), but thanks for not shying away from political(ish) statements.
As seen in the comments, many people react angry as their views are challenged. And despite some wanting "pure" fitness content without politics, I think its important that such topics are not exclusive to political channels. Almost nobody (left or right) actively seeks out opinions that challlenge oneself. So creators like you have the opportunity to create the spark in people to question their opinions and biases.

Thanks for being brave enough to voice your thoughts on this loaded topic!

  13. Im happy you did this, thanks! Agreed in a whole lot, disagreed in another bunch of stuff. Profoundly healthy.

You are no fan of Peterson, that seems obvious, but I think there is one idea he shares that we can agree is good and healthy:

"Choose a path to go, whatever you think is good and healthy and worthy of persuing, by your own estimation, and aim at that, comparing yourself to your past self and not to others. Aim up, keep going"

    Let's keep going

  14. Plan on sticking around, because your other content is great and helpful. Also, it's just kind of fun to watch. But, even though there were some good tidbits and Andrew Tate deserves scorn I think the overall message here is terrible.

On a specific point I wanted to bring up a thought. How I think of things like a gay kiss in a Buzz Lightyear film. I'm not concerned about that taking away from my pocket book. I just think kids shouldn't be exposed to that.

  15. The amount of comments completely misunderstanding your points is too damn high. It’s like they only half-listen and when you criticize their favorite talking head, the media literacy part of their brain shuts off and they delve into some minute point that is completely irrelevant to the overarching point.

  16. Red pill doesn't lead one to steroids. I was red pilled before it was ever associated with fitness. The red pill had more to do with politics. For instance, regulatory capture was considered red pilled when you understood it is happening. Understanding that pharmaceuticals advertised on news stations, not to sell their drugs to consumers, but to keep bad stories out of the media was considered red pilled. On the fitness level, even the ancient Greeks knew you are what you eat. Will you tell us next that two-tier Kier isn't cracking down on free speech. Did you just say Jordan Peterson props up the status quo, as if they aren't sending him to re-education camp? You talk about leading young men down a dark path. Is there any darker path than the childhood sterilization of puberty blockers and sex changes? What do you think about young women and mastectomies? You act as if you can't see the world around you. Did you realize there is a population collapse coming? College students can't even tell you what a woman is nowadays. People are giving children puberty blockers. No one ever said climate change isn't happening, as it is always happening. Why are all the global warming stories negative? The truth of the matter is that global warming would be an overall good. It would lead to longer growing seasons. It would lead to greenery. An acre of grass absorbs more carbon than an acre of forest. Speaking of debunked, you are using appeals to authority. If you're going to do that, Jordan Peterson has more authority than you in the psychological realm. Speaking of confusion, the gay kiss of buzz lightyear. I'm in my 50s, the steroid abuse is nothing new. Steroid abuse was big, even before the internet much less all the people you mentioned. Didn't know you were a leftist. Are you going to argue for affirmative action now? You can't tell people they aren't a loser, if they are a loser. They'll know you are patronizing them and won't listen to another thing you say.

  17. Overall, I really like your content. I’ve been applying your methods to my own workouts, and I’m very happy with the results. Definitely not a fan of this video, though. And I think your reasoning is very skewed. As you can see, most of the comments are not in your favor. It’s okay to have your opinion. But if you make a video like this then you have to expect some blow back.

  18. Thank you for this video. That makes me feel better about watching YouTube fitness content. There is so much heartless crap out there. I wished more YouTubeera in this bubble would be like you….

  19. “Don’t be ‘red pilled’, instead be a raging leftist instead!”

Dude you literally argued against encouraging men to be physically strong, eat healthy, and be capable. lol

You traded a net gain for the status quo hahaha

    Leftism ruins everything.
    Even (once) cool channels.
