The link netween west and east eurasians were the ancient north eurasians who lived in Siberia during the paleolithicum, mixed with east asians, and some of them went to the Americas. They also moved west and became the west siberian hunter gatherers during the mesolithicum. These ancient north eurasians even went west of the Urals and mixed with European hunter gatherers and became the Eastern european hunter gatherers. While the west european hunter gatherers had no admixture. The west siberian hunter gatherers mixed with a east asian group that came from Siberia and who were related to the Tungus. This mixture became the Uralic people around 6000 BP. The ancient north eurasians were related to west eurasians with ca. 20% east asian admixture. During the admixture of the mesolithicum in northern asia, the population became paleo-siberian which were 70% east asian and 30% ancient north eurasians. Native americans are 60% east asian and 40% ancient north eurasian. Later in the early neolithicum the paleosiberians mixed again with east asians and became the neosiberians, which are the present day Siberians, who are more then 80% east asian. West siberian hunter gatherers in the mesolithicum were 80% ancient north eurasian and 20% east asian. The east european hunter gatherers were 75% ancient north eurasian and 25% european hunter gatherer. The proto Uralic were 50% west siberian hunter gatherer (close related to ancient north eurasians) and 50% east siberian hunter gatheter (neosiberians 😮close related to the Tungus). The east european hunter gatherers mixed 6000 BP on the Kaspian region with caucasuan hunter gatherers. From this admixture came the Kaspian Pontic steppe herders, which are supposed to be the proto indo europeans. Al these people have a common ancestor; the ancient north eurasians. And they all have different admixture withe east asians in Siberia (and the Americas) and with european hunter gatherers in east Europa, and caucasian hunter gathers later on the pontic steppes.
My eyes did not make mistake with the Ainus. I did not see much European traits within Ainus from their photos.
In my eyes the ideal europeans are the Austro-germanic scandinavian type people with blue eyes, blond hairs and sharp features but not hairy body or countenance and that trait is also shared by many tatars, among non europeans but not by the Ainus who clearly has hairy countenance but also a much more flatter countenance.
If I have to put the Ainus in the spectrum of different eurasian groups starting from North African european looking people to South Asians I will put the Ainus somewhere near North East Asians – so quite close to where they are now.
Interstingly few days back i saw a video of some Sri Lankan girls and I found them very beautiful in their darkness in my eyes.
I used to find sri lankans quite handsome and beautiful but with diminishing occurances and i used to think it was due to disappearance of european influences with the countries independence.
But that video from interior sri lanka made me rethink somewhat. I used to find similarly dark compexioned but very sweety countenanced women and some men among some Bengalis in the past but nowadays I find that rarely and mostly among Bengali women of Tripura and north east india and also among christian Malaylalis and goanese people
I dont know if that presence in Sri lankan is due to portuguese mixture or east indian mixture as portuguese had been present in both these places as well as among malayalis and goanese and east indians had an earlier presence among sri lankan people.
Also east indians had been affected by Aryans and persians, afghans and mongolic people in the past while sri lankan, malayali and goanese people had no persian or mongolic influence except for the buddhist religion in sri lanka.
I even see a Native American mixtures as well, very fascinating!

We can’t go by melanin either bc that’s an environmental effect. The skin will get rid of melanin in order to absorb vitamin d (especially in places with low sun light).

I’m Mexican with ancestors from Russia , Germany, Hungary etc. and my DNA shows Sami , Siberian , Japanese Han , Turkic and Ashkenazi . White skin , Asian eyes with the epicantic fold , not much body hair or beard , brown hair and brown eyes
Ukrainians in Siberia and the Far East mostly appeared not because they were expelled for political reasons, but mostly they were settlers to new lands who received land for cultivation here.

You say we are "Norse" but where did the Norse come from, like you didn't say Germanic and Scandinavians came from that group(you do not see many blonds in the Indo European group but you do see a lot of them in the Uralic, still light hair and light eye color is a Nordic trait. If you include red then it goes up in the Indo European group even in the Nordic countries. Light eye color Scandinavians are also below Finno Ugric). So maybe what connects us is the population that existed before Indo Europeans even came to Europe. So much has been twisted and probably erased in history that now its all just theories and guesses. My point is that maybe the only thing we carry from our Indo European or Uralic group is the language and culture, the gene pool sort of existed before we came here(like we ain't all Russians or Amricans that clear the natives away to make room for us, maybe it was more peaceful back then when a culture or language came to an area).
Maybe the standards they are using are only seen from one side and if lets say the church had even a tiny part in creating that base it can be very faulty(Kings, Queens and Religion have maybe tweaked it a bit). My point is that its all theories and everyone will always support something that seems better for them. Like for example someone ones told me that the first Norwegian arrived in Kirkens before the Finno Ugric people, the first person probably did but they sure didn't carry the identity of being Norwegian(There was something called ICE in the way so it was not an Scandinavian from the Indo European group). What this means for me as a Karelian: "When will my people get their lands back, able to live free, speaking their languages and practicing their culture?", "When will we become more important than some Indo European Slavic parasite?", "When will we have rights, like every old empire seems to have the right to paint their borders on the world map so why do we not have the right?", "Why is the world just watching when our peoples culture and languages are getting exterminated?"
You probably see my point that for me it means a lot of questions why the world still thinks its ok to suppress/oppress minority natives, ain't humanity mature enough to put an end to it and Indo Europeans already have more than half of the globe so can't they just stop and give others a chance?
I am roughly half Saami and half Norwegian, with Ojibwe and Frissian making More of a showing then my Paternal WASP Surname. I am an American who's paternal gggggggg grandfather came to Jamestown in 1621, just in time to be captured and enslaved by the Powhatten confederation. He Stayed with the tribe and married into it, apparently, he took to that lifestyle very well. I also have much more recent immigrant blood lines as well, notably my Saami and Norwegian. People have always been great travelers and most folk now adays vastly underestimate how far and wide people would travel, especially Nomadic and seagoing peoples. Which is basically the entire circumpolar region and traveling east/west has always been more common than north to south movements so it should be no surprise the Northern peoples are connected in so many ways all around the world, like calls to like.

The Sami's are an Asian (paternal)-East European (maternal) blend.
Some of them still have a slight Oriental look about them.
Difference between Turks and Central Asian states does not necessarily mean Turks mixed with natives. Turks did not experience Mongol period. It is more likely that Central Asia mixed with Mongols and have more pronounced Asian appearance for that reason.
Where do you get these ideas? Autosomal DNA of average Turk resembles Iranian or Greek people. Turks carry a very distinctive genetic marker. Turks have Denisovan genes and usually it is more than neanderthal genes. This is something no European or middle eastern population has. It is found only in people from East Asia.
If Turks were mostly local and assimilated into Turkish speakers, Denisovan genes would have become insignificant after 1000 years. If Denisovan genes are more than neanderthal, it means Asian genetic pool is preserved.
The problem is that you’re not looking at a polar map projection. Paint circles around a ball. Which circle is the smallest? The top and bottom. Example distance from Lithuania to Hokkaido is 7,653 kilometers. Same longitude: nuorgam to sakah republic 3,541km. Cali to Arkansas basically.

Apparently I am 1/2 Sami, I look just like any other Norwegian. The Norwegian Sami is almost not recognizable in Norway. Every Sami have so much Norse genetics in them it is at this point only what you culturally like to be recognized as.
