This is the stuff that’s covered in the constitution, article one section 3, clauses six and seven. Clause 6 states that while sitting for impeachment, the Senate shall be under oath or affirmation, and that if the president is being impeached, the chief justice of the Supreme Court will preside. Clause 7 states that punishment in cases of impeachment shall not extend any further than the removal of office and disqualification to hold or enjoy any office of honor trust or profit under the United States however, the party convicted shall nevertheless be liable and subject to indictment trial judgment and punishment. Seeing as how President Trump was not removed from office on impeachment. He is not eligible for indictment trial judgment and punishment according to law. The Democrats in the house under Pelosi tried to impeach President Trump multiple times and yes, they had the votes to change Trump with impeachment, but the senate was where he is tried, and none of those cases Trump was charged with ever removed him from office therefore he could never be indicted tried judged and punished for his actions. If you can’t get enough evidence to convince 2/3 of the Senate to convict then you don’t have enough evidence to go to court. Andrew Jackson was never tried for his impeachment because he received one vote more for acquittal in his impeachment trial in the Senate to keep him from being removed for impeachment and president, Jackson actually did what he was accused of. The only real question was was it criminal or political to attack him with Impeachment. Bill Clinton was guilty of perjury a criminal act of obstruction of justice. The same reason why Democrats wanted to remove president Richard Millhouse Nixon from office under impeachment. it’s the reason judge Nixon was removed from office because it is an active obstruction of justice. But the baloney lie being told by not just Democrats, but the liberal biased propaganda outlets that call themselves news in this country stating there was a double standard putting the president above the law although they use the words different standard when it comes to impeachment, which literally translates to double standard to put the present above the law, he also bribed Monica Lewinsky in order to get from her a falsified affidavit, which was the conspiracy charge for perjury and there was DNA Evans that proved that crime . Bribery is one of the two crimes actually listed in the constitution the other one is treason and this is listed in article 2 section 4 of the United States constitution in which consists of one clause or sentence which states the president vice president and all civil officers of the United States shall be removed from office on impeachment for and conviction of treason bribery or other high crimes and misdemeanors. Nancy Pelosi kept bringing up impeachment charges in the house that had no bearing. There was no evidence of the accusations that he was being impeached for. That when the impeachment went to the Senate. There was not enough evidence to remove Trump from office for the made up charges that were obviously political attacks and not criminal proceedings.
