  1. I did not have a snes
    I went the Sega route
While you all was playing Mario cart I was playing
Desert strike, jungle strike, General Chaos, eternal champions, and sonic.
And I was still playing my commodore 64

  2. It is so much fun watching grown men turn back the clock and gush over their childhood fun !! I have no ability in game-playing, but a lot of the games you were discussing here were in my house as my son was prime age for arcades and had Atari and Collecovision (spelling?), before Nintendo. If he had studied as much as he played those games, he would easily have been the Valedictorian!! Love listening to you guys and Craig, I could listen to your voice all day ! ☺

  3. That’s because you haven’t played me. I thought I was good back in the 90s, but I actually learned how to dodge Red Shells in 2010 without Green Shells/Bananas. I would demolish you.

  4. Killer instinct, FF3(Final Fantasy 6 for the Nintendo), Ninja Scroll, playing Pokemon games on the Super Nintendo with the super Nintendo cartridge converter was absolutely amazing. I'll never forget playing Pokemon Yellow on the big screen, and playing Pokemon Silver was just chefs kiss.

  5. TMNT 4: Turtles in Time is my favorite SNES game, hands down. I've beaten it more times than I can count. The challenge, the levels, the boss battles. I love all of it, still to this day.

  6. I am about Craig’s age, and my history with SNES was the same as Jeremy’s. I had a Genesis in part due to sports games, but my cousin had an SNES, which is where I got my start with it. I actually liked the Genesis a lot at the time, but the SNES is clearly better in retrospect.

  7. That was a blast! I was constantly laughing and talking back to you guys while listening to this stream ("what?! who the hell puts FF6 over Crono Trigger?!" 😆), and was impressed at Jonny mentioning Cybernator, aka Assault Suits Valken — great game!
You guys should do a Genesis one too! Best Contra and Castlevania from the era (sorry Contra 3 and Super Castlevania, but Hardcorps and Bloodlines are better), Thunder Force IV and Musha Aleste, Alien Soldier and Gunstar Heroes, and of course, Streets of Rage.

  8. SNES is when I became a gamer growing up. Owned a NES but it was the grafix on the SNES that really blew my mind. 16 bit super power. DK Country 2 is my favorite
    game on the SNES.

  9. Man I tell you what! I just stumbled across this channel like a month ago and am hooked lol you guys are always a blast to listen to. I have such wonderful memories of the snes days what an amazing console!

  10. good/fun games

  11. In the Home Improvement game, Tim didn't actually travel back in time. The premise was that power tools were stolen from the Tool Time set and Tim had to travel through other TV show sets to track them down. So the dino level was supposed to be a dinosaur themed show or movie set, and there are things like studio lights and cameras throughout each level. If I remember correctly the "sets" were basically parodies of other games/genres, like the Jurassic Park game for the dinosaur level, and there was a Castlevania level where you fight a vampire.

  12. I had Cybernator, cracking game. Also shout out to Super Ghouls n Ghosts and the greatest Castlevania game ever, SC4 (no Symphony is not the best) . Such great memories.

  13. If you're gonna play Cybernator, you'd be better off getting Assault Suit Valken:Declassified on the switch. It's the original Japanese game with some added concept art. Cybernator is a butchered american release.

  14. Lufia II was easily a top 10 RPG on the SNES. The story is top 3 (competing with Chrono Trigger and FFVI) on the SNES and the music and game play are some of the best on the console.

The SNES was fine dining for RPG enthusiasts. So many great games. Secret of Mana, Secret of Evermore, the Final Fantasies, Chrono Trigger, Lufia II, Ogre Battle, Breath of Fire 2, Super Mario RPG, Earthbound, Soul Blazer / Illusion of Gaia / Terranigma, Robotrek, Super Metroid. Those are just my favorite RPGs, the full list is so much longer.

ETA: Then the internet gave us access to so many great SNES games that were never released here and we were given an SNES renaissance.

  15. Battletoads & Double Dragon – The Ultimate Team was probably my all time favorite SNES game. Awesome soundtrack, fun game play but man was it hard! I saw it at a retro game store still in the box unopened for like $200 it was crazy.
