The sos messages weren’t sent by the warpers as in some of them the crew are panicking because somethings trying to get into the lifepod which means the warpers were just tracking and intercepting instead of actually trying to lure the player
In my opinion, and from information I’ve gathered these radio broadcasts from the lifepods are pre recorded, and the other stranger ones being from Warpers, who were built by the architects to kill life forms that contract kora, as kora had wiped out the architects of course, and throughout the game you have kora, so thus, it’s he warpers also most likely being intelligent, want to kill you.

Its more than likely the warpers. The warpers are are not organic creatures. They are sentient cyborgs that were made for the purpose of assisting with the containment of the virus. They are made out of parts of organic life and held together with mechanical parts that give them their powers. You can find this out in one of the abandoned alien research bases. Add the knowledge that warpers no longer attack you after you are cured of the virus. Plus if you look at clues in both subnautica about allens race. Its possible that they have encountered humans before or are at least have observed them. Paired with allen knowing how to send human SOS signals to the player and the researchers. Its not unlikely that the warpers can too.
Their job is to help prevent the spread of the virus and keep it from leaving the planet. And being part technology. Its more than likely their messages about patrols are just their sub routines as part of their tech components.
Doubt this theory. I think there people from under the water calling and then leaving to try and look for you themselves. Although this theory is a cool theory. And it’s already been stated that the gargantuan leviathan is the apex predator of all life

I'm hoping that Subnautica 3 will shed some light on this phenomena, and get further into the mystery that this has caused, but I'm not holding my breathe about it doing so. Some believe it's the Warpers but invariably give no evidence of their supposition.
