  1. Once the mother talked about the government rubberishness, that's when the cop got a little triggered. The second cop just told the daughter just get your things and leave. The daughter should of just applied and leave, but she ESCALCULATED the situation by approaching and mouthing off the first cop in his face. so the cop got pissed off because her breath was in his face lol, so he arrested her. Regardless on the cop's behavior, before the incident, all she had to do is just leave, and go home. REMEMBER PEOPLE ESPECIALLY BLACK PEOPLE, IF A COP STOPS U ON THE ROAD, OR U R AT A PLACE AND THE COP IS A BAD COP OR A GOOD COP, YOUR MINDSET IS JUST APPLY, AND U WON'T PROBABLY DIE, AND GO HOME. YOUR FOCUS IS U WANT TO GO HOME.

  2. The cop was not acting like a cop, he was pushing her buttons and escalating the situation, the lady should of just done what she was told to do. Both are wrong, but he should of been professional and not tried to get the last word in.

  3. BOTH of them are at fault. He was unprofessional by provoking her and acting like an a** while she was calm during the whole time. And, she wrong for turning up and getting up in his face whether he was laughing (the situation was NOT FUNNY to begin with), frowning, or whatever. That's a no-no. He should've gotten suspended for this!

  4. The daughter and the mother are in the wrong simply because they're trespassing. The mother may have a mental illness, but she's also drunk and a drug addict. The cop was right. When the Baker Act didn't work, all of a sudden, the mother threatened to kill her. The daughter threw her mother under the bus to save her skin. Then the daughter became pissed with the cop when he started challenging her and he wasn't buying what she was selling. When the daughter yelled, "I GAVE YOU CHANCES!! YOU'RE LAUGHING LIKE IT'S A JOKE!!" That quote made her sound like a spoiled brat.

  5. He was being a dick and escalated the situation. We should be able to see the smug look on his face as he antagonized her. She was just trying to get her mom help and it was already a stressful situation. He doesn’t deserve to be working the public.

  6. The cop escalated the situation with his assumptions and attitude. I'm always in support of the police, but just the good ones, not guys like this. That being said, I would have the cop evaluated by a mental health professional to see what the root cause of his attitude is.

  7. For those interested, here’s some context:
The baker act is used to lock up people against their will (for up to 72 hours) if they pose a danger to themselves or others (no further support is provided after this time under this act). The act is not intended to be a respite for children who have parents with chronic (long term) mental illness or drug abuse issues, but unfortunately it is often used as such. As the act has been abused and over used (since its inception in the 1970s) by people looking for short term solutions to long term problems (largely seen used against the elderly), the temperament of the officer may be better understood when viewing this video.
For the record, I’m Australian, but did my own research to better understand what was going on here.

  8. Just because you don't have a Y Chromosome doesn't mean you can just act however you want to act and expect to get away with it.
She tried to lie to have her mother falsely imprisoned, then when her scheme didn't work she threw a tantrum and got aggressive with officers.
