I'm an old fan of the early Silent Hill titles, so I'm very much looking forward to this remake and I hope it strikes all the right chords. I am, however, a bit concerned with three things: The toned-down, pedestrian outfit of Maria, Angela's puffy face and comically bushy eyebrows, and the un-curvaceous nurses. I hope this is not the doing of Hit Detection or some lame attempt at making this title safe for "modern audiences" , as the psychosexual elements of Maria, the nurses, and other enemies are integral to the subject matter and themes of SH2's story. I will probably still buy this — but if Bloober tainted the narrative, it will RUIN this game and Silent Hill's legacy.
I don’t understand why they removed the overtly sexual aspect of Maria- the character makes no sense without it. Maria represented a version of Mary that James secretly wanted to see. Maria wasn’t a separate female protagonist, she was literally just a projection brought upon by the town, as seen in the born from a wish scenario. Stupid DEI idiots don’t see or understand all that
I watched the trailer yesterday and I’m very excited about it. The foggy atmosphere was beautiful and believable and it looks like it’s faithful to the original even in gameplay

Why are they starting with part 2 and not 1? The first one needed the remake and good will to knock part 2 remake out the part. I forsee expectations not being met by bloober team amd then Silent Hill disappears. We saw a fantastic remake id dead space and that didn't meet expectations. This just feels like a huge miss with a weak swing

Ive been a diehard SH fan for almost 25 years. Its by far my favorite series and I absolutely fkn love it. The unnecessary whining from fans that its not an absolutely perfect by the numbers remake is pretty damn annoying. I for one would like if they changed a few things. Nothing to do with the story, but with item placement, add new areas ect. I think the atmosphere is incredible. Laura, Angela and James look awesome, voice acting is pretty damn good, and the combat looks perfect. Im officially excited.

Definitely can’t wait to play this, atmosphere looks solid, the combat I’m not to worried about never was the focus of the game. This is obviously a earlier build of the game and yet time and time again morons don’t understand how developing works, the final build will be more polished and watching on my 85 inch 4k the footage from the transmission looks better than the state of play footage.

At moments looks like a PS3 game, especialy indoors, outdoors looks really good, also character models except for the main character needs more realistic details and better animations, combat looks weird feels weak with dynamic camera movement between attacks would make it more gruesom and dramatic, bodies needs bruses, cuts, dismember parts, so the tension is increased every minute, and finally more dark and heavy fog everywhere with physics applied to it! Like the old Physix from Nvidia.

This looks better than I thought. I am hoping there is a fixed camera angle option, but I understand if they don’t have it. Many younger gamers are not used to it. Angela looks great! She actually looks her age here.
Where is the DEI people are talking about. It looks like no one was race swapped. The trailer didn’t show Maria/Mary very well, just but from what I saw there was no race swapping.
People love complaining I guess. The voice acting is a bit odd, but Silent Hill especially in the first games had odd voice acting to me. It comes with the franchise at this point
