What if his stalker actually did exist that the phone calls in the voicemails exist and they are from the stalker that went to prison but to protect the stalker's identity. He chose to represent his stalker to protect that person's identity by using a casual acquaintance person that should have at his borrow occasionally and was kind of like a friend appearance because it's so different and so out there compared to his actual stalker.

Seems to me you lot have it out for Netflix because very little of what you are saying is making any sense at all. You're glossing over or completely omitting crucial points. I agree there’s only one truth, Facts. If this movie had been released prior to technology, it would likely have never been discovered who she is. No one can help the fact that there are tech sleuths that figured it out. 🤷🏻♀️
I believe the story to be true, based on how she responded to questions.

So this is a really important point to me. I am a recovering addict & I have no problem properly recalling times where I had been attacked to I have to say I think Dr. Drew is wrong there. Love,Stalker Killer was a GREAT piece!!! Also by Netflix, also about a woman stalking a man, using social media. I’m so confused why Netflix didn’t use that format as opposed to a movie drama series. So I’m think it was because they were able to use artistic license but SAY that. Don’t say “this is a true story”
I disagree. Just because Fiona said on the show “even if I did send the emails, it doesn’t prove the rest is true.” I can tell you, as someone raised by a narcissist, I trained myself to lie to people about small & large details to protect yourself from being judged or face uncomfortable confrontations. So Fiona is likely CONSTANTLY having to justify every action, thing she said on social media, posts she made etc. so I can see myself saying something like that in an effort to defend myself (before all the therapy mind) . To me, that wasn’t a slip, it was her being an attorney and someone trying to consider every angle & way to keep herself from looking like a villain. Men (not to be sexist) can do well as a villainous character. They can exude that & unapologetically move on with their lives…. Woman, can’t really do that. When a woman is presented as a bad person: an abusive mother, a cheating girlfriend, a thief from a company, NOBODY wants to see her do the hair toss as she walks out of the courtroom post her “big win”. They want to see her SUFFER, right? I think that’s what Fiona fears & it’s why she’s receiving hate mail and death threats. Ya know?
One of the ladies said ‘I believe that 75% of what she was saying was true’ ……..what?? I think only 75% of Baby Reindeer was true.. but Fiona’s interview was 99% lies. She’s absolutely capable of sending that many emails. Have you seen her Facebook posts?
Maybe they figured it was economically more fruitful to take a chance and exaggerate about the truth of it all — even if they get sued in the end. Also sheds light as to why Gadd didn't want people to seek her out. Maybe he feared a lawsuit. Go figure..

The film does not depict her going to prison. The courtroom scene was clearly fictionalized. It made him look good and made her look repentant…which, I'm sure she isn't. They can just say it was his fantasy, but people misinterpret it as actually happening.
I disagree…This is hardly a slam dunk…Fiona has been outed and has no one but herself (and maybe her horrible childhood) to blame. I get that she doesn't want to be harassed, and the irony is rich on that one…but she's out for fame and money now…She's a narcissist. She's milking it. If she does file lawsuits, they'll never go to trial…Netflix will throw her a half mi and send her on her way. I applaud Richard Gadd for his honesty and his courage in telling his story.

During the court scene, the eyes give a lot away. You can see her work out if the dates are correct which says to me she did pester the parents.

🤯🤯🤯I seriously have an issue with the label, Mentally Ill, for all stalkers. They know the difference between right and wrong that’s why they lie! 😮😮😮. They are fully aware of the harm they are causing, are usually told by their victims to stop, and are using fear to control EVERYONE! Stalkers become more dangerous the longer they are ignored see it as a pas to increase and continue their abuse. 😮😮😮
Piers! They didn’t “hire” an actress with the same speech and cadence as real-life stalker. It’s called acting!
Just my 2 cents – Whether she is lying, not lying , mentally unwell for either of them…..I do not understand these people who send her or him death threats….NOT ON !!! Those people have major issues and need help. Since when are these kind of threats okay to anyone. Perhaps this is something we need to address as a society and to protect our future generations.
