  1. My shoulders prefer an incline. So I stick with that and go for sets of 12 to 20 reps. I had my heavy workout years where I peaked in my mid 40's with set of 365lbs x 5 on flat bench. Now I train for volume at 63 years old. Still making gains! Love your video's!

  2. Dear Paul. Do you take any multivitamin and Sleep support? Today I did the chest exercise. Amazing pump and feel💪. Would love a new back workout with abs included. Love the way you combi back and abs👍

  3. Bro I cant believe you are 84.. you look great.. push-up partials for high reps are definitely the best chest exercise…! Box bench press is for powerlifters does work… lots of injuries from this movement

  4. I performed a bench press like this before…only 3 sets, but I let it rest on the spotter arm at the end of each rep…felt great. I've given up on BB bench presses due to my rotator cuff issues (minor tears). I may give this a try again…the weight isn't "heavy," that helps protect my shoulders.

  5. Hi Paul. Have been watching your videos for a while. Here's a challenge for you. Almost 2 years ago, at 74 yrs, had abdominal surgery, 2 weeks in hospital, had to remain sedentary for 3 months. Lost 6 kg/13 lbs in weight and a significant amount of muscle. Have always been quite strong and very active prior to this episode, mainly cardio with weights, rowing 10-15 km and the occasional half marathon, cycling 20 to 80 km often. Started weight training in early 2023. Trying to build muscle again, I realise at this age it's a big ask. Any advice/ suggestions? I don't want a simple pussy maintenance program, quite ok with hard work. Sandy (male )

  6. Love your content Paul. Not a lot of fluff, mostly short and to the point. I was a little shocked to hear how much TL protein you typically drink in a day. I was thinking doing more than two scoops might be two much. I’m 65, and need to lose fat! Glad to see I can take the whey protein intake up some more. Good protein without a bunch of calories. 👍

  8. I’ll try this next week , I usually of the safety bit lower cause I want to work on control and keeping it least 2 inches away from my chest . I’m still pretty new to the bench so I’ll see what works for me
