Do you include the bar weight in your total or just what discs you put on ?
Great tips Paul!
My shoulders prefer an incline. So I stick with that and go for sets of 12 to 20 reps. I had my heavy workout years where I peaked in my mid 40's with set of 365lbs x 5 on flat bench. Now I train for volume at 63 years old. Still making gains! Love your video's!
Good tips tips Paul.
Did this because exercise today using my Swiss bar because of my shoulders. Best thing I've been able to do in years. Thanks
Mr paul got question im 5’2 225 lb 38 male what you suggest get in hard core shape..im in a gym just can’t get my workout consistent..thanks for any suggestions

You are my favorite sir. Many thanks for your teaching. 🙏🙏🤝🤝
Narrow grip or dumbbels also helps shoulders. I switched to narrower grip after AC joint sprain on right and impingement on left.
I use something similar. Start with two 25s so 95, add 25s til I get to 245 and work back down. I don’t have the spotter racks but it is a killer
Be fun waiting for the bench when someone is doing this in the gym
Thanks Youtube for yours manies advices !!! Paul, your massive chest looks so natural 🏋️
Ever tried a swiss multi grip bar for bench press? After a torn UCL in forearm and problem with my shoulder it works great for bench press.

I’m also 52, best shape of my life. I was stronger when I was heavier, maybe I was storing T in the fat.
What do you suggest to counter loss of strength while getting lean?
Im working my body and im impruving my legs doing your type of workout.
Wow🥰 very good information and excellent work superb brother 👍
That's way too much! All that is not necessary for growth.
Seriously Paul, you’re my hero-avatar when I work out. Super cool!
Dear Paul. Do you take any multivitamin and Sleep support? Today I did the chest exercise. Amazing pump and feel💪. Would love a new back workout with abs included. Love the way you combi back and abs👍
Bro I cant believe you are 84.. you look great.. push-up partials for high reps are definitely the best chest exercise…! Box bench press is for powerlifters does work… lots of injuries from this movement
Thank you very much for new technique introduction,
👏👏👏💪💪💪
Paul is an inspiration 🔥
95 lbs for 30 reps; 115 lbs for 25 reps; 135 lbs for 15 reps; 155 lbs for 8 reps; 165 lbs for 5-7 reps; now drop set with the same weight and rep count descending back down to 95 lbs for 30 reps
I performed a bench press like this before…only 3 sets, but I let it rest on the spotter arm at the end of each rep…felt great. I've given up on BB bench presses due to my rotator cuff issues (minor tears). I may give this a try again…the weight isn't "heavy," that helps protect my shoulders.
Well done bravo 👏
Hi Paul. Have been watching your videos for a while. Here's a challenge for you. Almost 2 years ago, at 74 yrs, had abdominal surgery, 2 weeks in hospital, had to remain sedentary for 3 months. Lost 6 kg/13 lbs in weight and a significant amount of muscle. Have always been quite strong and very active prior to this episode, mainly cardio with weights, rowing 10-15 km and the occasional half marathon, cycling 20 to 80 km often. Started weight training in early 2023. Trying to build muscle again, I realise at this age it's a big ask. Any advice/ suggestions? I don't want a simple pussy maintenance program, quite ok with hard work. Sandy (male )
Hmmm he snuck in this secret video. It's not Sunday lol. Thanks!
Love your content Paul. Not a lot of fluff, mostly short and to the point. I was a little shocked to hear how much TL protein you typically drink in a day. I was thinking doing more than two scoops might be two much. I’m 65, and need to lose fat! Glad to see I can take the whey protein intake up some more. Good protein without a bunch of calories. 👍
Paul great tip! Dislocated shoulder, doing this today…Awesome!👊

Paul hi just saw your article in mens health ❤❤
I’ll try this next week , I usually of the safety bit lower cause I want to work on control and keeping it least 2 inches away from my chest . I’m still pretty new to the bench so I’ll see what works for me
