Invaded and annexed by China in 1950??? I'm laughing to tears. The whole Qinghai, Western Sichuan, Northern Yunnan, Southern Xinjiang, Southern Gansu are all Tibetan plateau but under Chinese rule for 1000 years. The only annexed part of Tibetan plateau in 1950 is today's Tibet Autonomous region, which is actually ruled by Qing dynasty for 200 years.
