  1. Bruh, mirrors edge catalyst wasn't bad, neither no man's sky or other games you mentioned in 2016, we can't turn a blind eye in these times in which games have gotten significantly less polished and cringier, bad games back then were playable with background noise, nowadays there's nothing, no gameplay loop, no narrative nor story to speak of and quality declined heaily…

  2. I don't think much of people who complain about activist writers. They are all activists. If the theme and its message are so abrasive that it ruins your enjoyment, then the writer isn't doing their job. Remember that blazing saddles was a movie that satirized racist white people, but was still enjoyed by an audience that contained many racist white people.

This crop of creatives won't have any positive cultural influence because anyone whose mind might be changed by their work is put off and annoyed by what they are saying.

  3. You know that saying If you make a good game or movie , people will buy it , that has not changed,,, Look at at Black myth, Space marine 2, Dead Pool 3,FF7 and Resident evil Remakes has been fun, these games that fail have a ton of issues because corporate greed becomes the focal point when making these games,, forcing, inclusion means trying to get everyone to buy the product, "we have to change the way how people think" some DB BlackRock CEO. I can go and on but it this Agenda that killing the industry , Dead pool movie created by a fan with talent and passion and result is billions of dollars .

  4. Sorry you've gotten stress from the things that started crawling out of the Ivy League schools 10-12 years ago.
They are definitely cultish like most groups that drink the 'dogma' kool-aide.
Im sure he was expensive but you can't beat the peace of mind a well known bad-ass lawyer can bring you.
I bet Mercanti's lawyer had a definite pucker factor when he saw who your lawyer was lol…would have loved to see his face. He probably told her "i'm outta here, write your own gobbly-de-gook legal letters!!"

  5. With Concord and maybe Fairgame$, I think we're getting close to the crash. I can't wait. All these big ESG investment funds will lose money and they'll see gaming as too risky and hopefully back out of investing in it or at least reduce their stake in gaming companies.

  6. I think it would have been a lot better to have the proper voice actors. Arnold still "rents" his mr freeze suit from the studio to this day. He would have absolutely been on board and probably would've marketed it as well. Seems like studios just simply don't research or communicate. A few days of the right calls and they could've had all the right people and stuff lined up to at least give the game some meat. I don't really mess with games like this so it's not for me, but if they had all the correct actors and really accurate models it would at least look and sound cool enough for me to try.
For me I only buy a few games a year and very rarely new, but Helldivers 2 and Outlaws grabbed my attention and those are both a ton of fun. If they did Suicide Squad differently it could've become another one of my games just because I've never played a marvel or DC game before and this does have characters thay would be cool to play as…if they looked and sounded good

  7. i disagree. Deadpool 3 did really well and its a sequel. I think its the quality of the movies and they are not putting crowd pleasers. when you don't give people what they want they don't come.

  8. It’s different when the newest iteration of a very beloved IP flops because of writing for ‘modern audiences’ when making it into a smash hit would’ve been so easy (and less expensive without employing those ‘consulting companies’). Those get well deserved visible backlash. There is no such thing as a ‘built in audience’ for any IP anymore. Everyone is now cautious.

  9. Also crash is relative, depends what part of the industry you look at. Fighting games for example are arguably in their golden age.

Street fighter 6 record sales and does numbers in terms of player base

    Tekken 8 – the same

Guilty gear strive – best performing in the franchise

    Granblue – doing really well

Riot are getting in to the space

Capcom doing huge collabs with SNK

    A new fatal fury game.

The list goes on, if you’re a fighting game die hard like me. It’s never been this good.

Oh and marvel vs capcom is back

  10. Honestly for me there's nothing more satisfying than seeing a game like Forspoken or Saints Row fail. I love thinking about how stupid they must feel for actually believing the world is how they think it is.

  11. Gaming isn't crashing lmao not even close, people are playing games more than ever, and games like GTA6 are still going to outsell every single game ever more than likely. People like to "cancel," games now, like Gollum and Suicide Squad. We used to focus on the good games and ignore the bad. Now we almost focus on the bad more than the good. It sucks we hear more about Redfall than we do a good release, but it's fun to see how bad a game can be sometimes.

  12. Biggest problem with Forespoken, inconsistency and a 'skydiving without a parachute' character development.
    Ex…
    Girl: I'm just misunderstood, right?
    Judge: No, you're terrible.
Girl: Game, I'm actually good, right?
    Game: No, you're a monster.
Villain: Jo, I'm obviously evil and you couldn't figure it out from my first evil laugh and obvious plot progression.
Girl: Psyche. I'm actually a nice person when I'm the one to benefit from it.
Game: Psyche. The budget ran out, here's a non-cliff-hanger and a terrible DLC.
DLC: Remember that unsatisfying ending… I'll make it confusing and underwhelming too.
