  1. @5:14 Once an FTO, always an FTO 🙂 Congrats to the rookie on being on his own and having to deal with his FTO's backseat driving one last time. Genuine warm wishes to both 🙂

All in all, just an incredibly positive video from the troopers involved to those who stopped to help, to the unnamed wife who provided cover – and the good communication throughout. It's rare you get a to see a video where just so much is done so well under so much pressure.

  2. Rookie saved him? Where'd TF that come from?! I saw an officer get shot, maintain his composure and get in the fight. He remains focused with limited range of motion and neutralizes the threat. I mean we appreciate the rookie responding and not exhibiting cowardice, but come on

  3. 9:00 what a stupid question… i dont think that Suspect didnt gave two shits about that what should the Officer do? just let him be killed by the guy which was still firing at him?! typical stupid news Question…

  4. Ha window reporter asked about the concern of others at the officer shooting a rifle. I would responded do you think the guy shooting at the officer was concerned about those bullets hitting other vehicles??

  5. Simcox was clearly an excellent trainer! Aragon has rightfully lost his title of rookie! He did an excellent job and deserves multiple commendations! And that male civilian…..he stated that his wife was covering himself and officer Simcox! This is one example of why I cannot stress enough how important it is to train, train, train, with your firearms! Had she not been there covering them, they may not have been able to render medical aid to Cpl Simcox!

  6. Im so thankful for the training that Cpl Simcox received. He reacted perfectly. God bless him, his family and the other brave LEO'S that attended to and took over the scene.
It is sad that society has become to this. Also to be commended is the civilian who saw what was happening and also took it upon himself to get involved and help end this unwarranted attack.
