The A30 with Spruce OS 2.1 is really good now. Still sucks that we have to rely on CFW to fix the stock issues but at least the community has options.
They aren't emulators, they're Linux handhelds…

Nah Bob me boy! The joy stick is FANTASTIC for Arcade games! Like Metal Slug! Or anything that you had to pay in quarters for! It's perfect!
Also I don't know how to put roms and custom firmware on these emulators. I've been trying to learn but there's always some info missing as to why you have to do some things to the point where you can play what you want.
Also I've had trouble with some of these machines not being able to save games. I still don't know how to fix that and it breaks my heart…
This video needs an update now that the custom firmware is out and the a30 has a lot of new features. I gotta order one asap.
this anbernic looks and sounds like a $4 toy
muOS is available for the 28XX now, and it's pretty solid. So I'd recommend that.
The A30 is certainly better with a custom os named Spruce. All it does is simplify the os by getting rid of unnecessary options and optimizing all retroarch settings. Everything performs much better after installing.
This thing is trash
My first handheld was the pocketgo followed by the 350m. Tried Breath of fire 3 on the pocketgo and worked well until the first battle.

I have a MiyooMini+ and am amazed you never came across the "refresh ROMs" issue! I had to do that so much when setting mine up for the first time

I wanted one of these but after seeing the reviews… I can't justify it. The 35XXSP on the other hand, at least has that cool clamshell thing going on, so I got that instead

Picked up a 28xx over the a30 solely because it has no wifi or bt, meaning i can have it in the classified room at work, prefer the mechanics of the a30 but whatr you gonna do

hack a PSVita. That seems to be the consistent trend right now to get emulation software to operate the roms correctly and with the right screen ratio with suitable frames.

Sonic Advance 3 is one of the best tests for GBA, the normal ending scene has an annoying vertical line on most popular emulators VBA, mGBA, gbarunner2.
You know it's a tricky thing because the WiiU release doesn't have it, but if you inject the game on say, Sonic Advance 2? You will get the vertical line! Maybe once the decomp gets going a solution can be found.

Does keepretro usually take a long time to ship?
Under $50 for all the pokemon GBA and maybe gb as well in the correct form and practically no hastle I'm sold but I'd be deleting all the home consoles playing them at that price not realistic

ever tried powkiddy q20 mini with miyoo CFW? personally it has taken the roll of these quite well by being far less powerful.
im surprised you didnt include the Anbernic RG28XX H. its horizontal and i can play dreamcast and N64 with it.

My favorite emulator is still my original PSP. Plays everything up to PS1 like the ones he lists in the video. It has N64 emulator but its spoty at best.
Sounds like we should wait for both to get CFW
