  1. Is it likely that having this gene mutation, untreated, could present as celiac disease? My daughter already discovered this mutation runs in our family. I get very sick by eating all the foods you listed as "enriched or fortified". When I follow a strict celiac diet, my symptoms are gone. But sometimes I can get away with eating white flour with no symptoms. This would change my life to discover I don't have celiac.

  2. Hi, thanks for this video. You say we should experiment with removing folic acid from our child's diet for 3 days. And we should do this by avoiding fortified foods like bread, cereals and pasta etc. What about foods where folic acid occurs naturally that are generally seen as healthy? Dark greens, beans and nuts. Should we also avoid these foods? Thanks

  3. Thanks Gary, another great video and topic.
This is my wife to a T. Is there any harm in taking B12, B-complex and methyl folate despite not being tested for MTHFR gene mutation?

  4. Absolutely works and is real, not specific to MTHFR but Methylation in general and Genetic DNA sequencing. I have already been reading in depts about Human Diet, Gut health and Human biology. But after I Watched the Dana White story, I proceeded to research science backed articles vigorously in regards to a close family member suffering from ongoing health issues, symptoms relating to methylation and autoimmune problems now for around 7-10 years.

Recently after 4 years of extreme mental health, this person's complete identity disappearing, hyper, a scary like goyter, then hypo thyroidism which was treated with prescription medication. We were unfortunately getting nowhere. I then advised to try stopping prescribed medication initially because of reactions and side effects, I tried with heavy resistance and stubbornness from this person on a Specific methylation supplement which lead to symptoms and bloods improving slightly after 3 weeks. We then addressed further with 4 specific methylation supplements and a specific amino acid targeting leaky gut for 2.5 weeks. This person then wakes up one morning and dead set says to me "I feel different today" I also noticed dramatic and lessening of the symptoms. Doctors would then seal the deal by saying Bloods levels are back to normal and consistently touch wood are staying that way.

@ultimatehumanpodcast you are a living legend, we cannot thank you enough for sharing such relevant and important information!! Myself and this person can now move forward somewhat independently (with clarity) to address other major health issues instead of declining further as a fearful/co dependent and extreme Stubbornness/Resistance aimed towards me😜 Thankyou Gary Brecka and the team 🙏🙏🙏

  5. How about a recessive MTHFR (heterozygous) 1 copy of the gene? does that cause any issues? Does that MTHFR test tell us if we either 1 or 2 copies of it? Heterozygous &/or Homozygous? We want to know if we could be passing it on to our children to be carriers &/or Homozygotes of the MTHFR gene.

I found this info online but the question remains can only 1 copy of either of the mutations C677T OR A1298C cause issues?

A positive test result means that you have an MTHFR gene change in one or both of your MTHFR genes. Having a change in only one of your MTHFR genes is unlikely to cause any health problems. If your homocysteine levels are high and your MTHFR gene test shows that you have:

Two copies of the C677T gene change or one copy each of C677T and A1298C, then these gene changes are probably causing your increased homocysteine levels.

Two copies of the A1298C gene change, then your increased homocysteine levels are probably not caused by these gene changes

A negative test result means that neither of the common MTHFR gene changes were found in your blood sample. If you have an increased homocysteine level, it's probably from another condition, such as a lack of B vitamins, taking certain medicines, older age, hypothyroidism, kidney disease, or another disease.

This decribes me to a T. I'm going to try 5 Methylfolate, Hydroycobalamin(b12), D3 + k2 and Magnesium Glycinate. Anyone who is suffering just like me (mine is very severe) I will let you know how I get on in afew weeks. Ive had severe insomnia since 2020, very strong social anxiety that has led to chronic anxiety. As of this my work, gym, relationship and social life has seriously been affected. Ive tried pharmaceuticals, stress and sleep hygiene, changed to a carnivore and then now a animal based diet. Stopped smoking, drinking alcohol and smoking weed (smoked at night to sleep, did not help) Everything. Im going to buy the gene mutation test in the next few weeks to see exactly what i have. But for now I will start off on one supplement then add in more throughout, as I cant cope any longer it feels like im dying slowly and im only 24. Wish me luck 🙏 💛

  7. Thank You,
I can't get 10x test done in likes of Ireland but I managed to check for that MTHFRA1298C and MTHFRC677T
There is partial polymorphism in MTHFRA1298C
Armed with ChatGPT and YouTube I listen to this and I literally have flashbacks of episodes of anxiety that kicked in with no apparent reason for anxiety.
Until I encountered this episode back in 2016-2017 I would have thought it was just the way one things or kind of attitude but this wasn't it. I challenged my GP (doctors hate me im sure)
because I could not accept the fact there was a trigger, outside trigger for anxiety at the time.
I could be sitting in the restaurant, listening of beautiful music on a date and suddenly my body would like to tell me there is a bear coming to eat me and I have to run.
Your 2nd symptom outlined here is exactly me. I do not understand at all why when I eat something I have "symptoms" and others I dont.

Without going into further of this, I eventually found Dr. Berg and healthy keto has fixed all my symptoms
Now, with better knowledge suddenly , I can understand everything in the retrospect…

Little sad though, Im lucky, I have inquisitive mind , i found the way out.
Can you imagine all the people going to their general practitioner , put on xanax and of they go.. just sad.

Thank You so much Gary for putting this all out there, beaming light and this information out.

I have to try to do other tests for other genes you suggested but its not particularly easy to find a Lab who does that…

  8. My husband has been diagnosed with diverticulitis. His father had digestive issues they probably were never diagnosed. I’m wandering if this could be the mutation.

  9. I’ve been banging this drum for 30 years . I found out about it after I had a son born with Spina Bifida . Went down rabbit hole with the Linus Pauling institute. In a BOOK . When your body can’t metabolize , your body can create a tumor . The OBGYN’s , pushed the FOLIC ACID . Thank you for bringing this to light .

  10. Finally a light at the end of the tunnel. I found out i have the mutation ( homozygous) and hopefully will get some relief by supplementing methylsulfate and limiting folic acid? I know ive had sensitivity to bread and anything with wheat but not every time, like he said so probably not allergic. This makes things more clear and hopefully i can stop suffering 😢

  11. I’m sorry to comment negatively here but talk about labouring a point! 😅 This guy has great story telling skills – I’m not saying it’s false info but it reminds of of snake oil salesman. His style sets me on a path of mistrust! It’s so intense and fearsome. In terms of anxiety he certainly gives it to me lol. He is covering symptoms that virtually everyone has time to time. It’s a bit like going to see a clairvoyant covering all bases – a good way to get viewers and fans. I am so tired of looking for answers to my life long health issues – i appreciate his intentions but I’m just saying this as feedback. I’ll try the methylated folate. Thank you. 😂

  12. Maybe a kind and knowledgeable person can tell me if I have it. I had a genetic test and for this gene the result is CC do I have the double mutation? I just bought his multivitamin and I just started today. I appreciate any help.

  13. Thank you Sir! I got tested a few years ago and found out I have MTHFR mutation but they never told me how to fix it. I was diagnosed with ADHD as a kid and I have had all the symptoms you explained for a very long time. Hope now I can fix that with some supplements!
