I've had Raducanu's back for a long time now. The hate against her is fierce and abundant, and I don't think she deserves it.
That said, I'm wondering how much longer her tennis career will last. Whether because of a fragile body or a lack of desire– or a combination of both– the writing seems to be on the wall by now. Same thing over and over again for nearly three years.
I hope I'm wrong. I want to see her succeed, and she is still quite young.
Wozniakci and Halep didn't get wild cards and so won't be playing. Fair enough.
So sad to hear Rybakina may pull out. ☹️It’s bad enough that Jannik is seriously in doubt. The two remind me of a lot each other. Both brilliant young players that bring so much to the game. They have a quiet but lethal fighting spirit and such great character.
