  1. Thank you! a lot of people seem to love Malum, but I found it weak compared to last shift. They did way to much with the reimagining, also considering the budget was bigger the demon looked terrible.
Also the cult leader in last shift was terrifying, the face make up was bad ass, but they replaced that awesome character with a guy that wears a turtleneck and looks bland as hell…that made me so mad

  3. I deff think that Black Mirror is becoming more like American Horror Story! Which is so incredibly tragic. There are so many good tech ideas out there that they could explore, especially with the rise of AI going on right now! Keep the supernatural/fantasy elements out of Black Mirror and stick to science-fiction in my opinion! So sorry about your pup, sending him love and healing energy <3

  4. So I have a question about a movie I remember watching as a child. I remember a movie where a man captures women and keeps them in dog crates in his (I think unfurnished) attack and scalps them. There may be a party going on downstairs during one of the scalping scenes. When I looked this up I found maniac (2012) and it’s definitely not that but it may be maniac (1980) but I’m not sure, I remember it being an early 2000s movie. Thank you!

  5. *Spoiler*

Crowded room is loosely based on Billy Milligan the first person in U.S. history to be found not guilty due to dissociative identity disorder. Claim to happened due to trauma of SA from his step dad.

  6. Last Shift is really good, but I loved Malum. At first, I thought I was going to hate it right off the bat. They race swapped the main character. No need for that. The actress did a great job. My issue isn't with her, it's with the movie makers that have a problem with keeping white actors in the roles that they make famous. Making the main character black, also allowed for some great dialogue to make some white men go from D-bags, to sounding like extremely racist d-bags. Because white people aren't hated on enough in Hollywood films. Anyway, the main actress does an amazing job, and I soon forgot the issues I had. I'm a gore hound, and there was enough to keep me happy, plenty of scares. The original had a mystery to it. Not knowing what was going on, always kept you guessing, but Malum (I thought) was just as good, if not better. Watch Last Shift first, if you haven't seen it, then watch Malum. Otherwise it's like going from a pizza with everything, down to a pizza with cheese, and a few slices of pepperoni.

  7. Sorry about Gromit. Hope everything turns out OK, Emma. Lots of love!

I am on the 1st 10 mins of episode 3 and I just wanna rewatch 1 and 2 for consistency in regard to this show being about multiple personality disorder. Wanna see if his friends are non-existent too, I am pretty sure the blonde one isn’t and it makes sense Mike isn’t too. Dead twin never existed, nor do the occupants of the ghost house. Don’t know who is the CMer yet, but the obvious choice is the step-dad. Don’t think the blondie is all together real either, she is just a fantasy when she is with him. Take care, Emma. Much Love to the whole household. Ps. If I am wrong about this show I will eat my hat.

  8. Yeah Black Mirror definitely let me down for it to be gone for soooo long. Beyond the Sea would have been a good episode of I didn’t already know how it would end. I found it quite obvious once he started acting jealous that it would end that way so he could feel his pain. So that kind of messed it up for me. Loch Henry was definitely my favorite episode even if it wasn’t black mirror-esque

  9. Omg Strangeland. I've thought of that movie so many times. One of those ones I saw WAY too young and it has stuck with me. But I could never remember what it was called.

  10. **Spolier Alert**

I have watched the first 2 episodes of Crowded Room, and yes, right from the opening couple of scenes I had a very good idea what is going. on. Basically I think the guy has DID, ala Fight Club/Sybelle kind of situation? I will finish watching, but I'm sure I am right.

  11. Great recap of what you watched! I thought Joan is Awful was a solid Black Mirror episode, but I could relate to what you said about it becoming more like AHS on the whole.

No worries about when you post a less favourable opinion of something that others like, too. I think it's refreshing to embrace differing opinions and there's no shame in it; it'd be a pretty boring world if we all felt the same way about things we watched!

Appreciate your content. And my wife and I are sighthound lovers (we had a sweet greyhound and now a whippet). Sending all our love to Gromit, you, and your family, and I'm sure he's comforted having you nearby to look after him. Take good care.

  12. The 'Black Mirrorv thing has been explained, kind of. There is going to be 'Red Mirror' coming out and they were considering the creepy ones for that, as it's horror based, but couldn't wait to show these ones. Loads of love for poor Gromit and to you and your hubby. xxxx
