Nintendo definitely isn't the best when it comes to their backlog, but they've got all the stuff on the Switch Online Applications you get. NES, SNES, Gameboy, N64. Heck they got permission from Sega to get a Genesis Emulator on the Switch

Hello games most assuredly does not hate its players. Or else they would have had no reason to pull it back.
And no mans sky as a sandbox is far more enjoyable than Minecraft for example. But I’m not hearing complaints there?
I don't agree with min/maxing and metagaming being a bad thing in competitive games. I can't say I'm a fan of the newer WoW expansions, but getting a guild together that's all about min/maxing the f* out of everything and fighting for server/world firsts was so fun. And the great thing about it was that if you weren't into that there was room for everyone else as well. They could do their own thing.
The place it's less fun is in games where new players can't pick it up because of the level or complexity thrown at them.

Definitely made them more money, but also kind of a valid thing to do. A REALLY egregious offender is Skyrim. I don't think there's a game that has re-released more times.
