This is an older Video so don't know if he changed his mind around mtx. So, saying there are more important problems than expansive skins/mtx and saying in the same sentence that advertising from mtx towards children, gambling is a problem…that's a weird take. This is part of the same greed. Obviously it is more fucked up to target kids, but the main problem..greed…will stay and this will lead to new shit, over and over. Regulations suck!? Yeah but without it it sucks even more, especially when we talk about corporate greed.
This prices are also priced the same for kids, adults.

Eh I kinda disagree on the point that “people just believe that modern gaming sucks”.
The reason these videos gain so many views, even from really small channels is because modern gaming does suck, and that’s not something we “believe”, it’s how we FEEL.
People watch these videos so that their feelings and negative experiences can be reaffirmed by someone else. These videos don’t make us believe anything, these videos are saying what we already think which is why they garner so much attention.
And at this point, not only is it a a feeling, it’s an absolute fact that modern gaming sucks. Yea sure you occasionally get a game like elden ring, but aside from a few outliers, modern gaming is in the toilet and it’s undeniable no matter how upset the sentiment makes you.
If this sentiment about modern gaming was false, these videos wouldn’t get any views, downvoted and ratioed into oblivion and everyone in the comment section would be speaking to the contrary with positive experiences but I never see any of that when I come across a video like this…like EVER.
So no, it’s not something that we just believe because a YouTuber told us, it’s how we feel and we are watching said video to see if that content creator feels the same.
Also, when someone says “modern gaming” it’s implied that we’re talking about AAA development. This doesn’t apply to the indie genre which has been flourishing for as long as I can remember, regardless weather that’s your cup of tea or not.
AAA is shit except for an extremely few diamonds, but it's a golden age of indie games.

i went back to older games and having way more fun. Don't get me wrong I like some modern games but its rare. I mostly play 360 era and below now and im not only completing more games I never played before but I am also having tons more fun

You know, I think the problem may be simply that the games may not be described entirelely acurately. Or at least the topic that the description is leaning on isn't. I know that doesn't make much sense so here's what I mean; An interface of a game that has you sorting out your inventory doesn't make a game an RPG in and of itself. If it did, that's like saying disk cleaner is an RPG.
I think the largest issue is player perspective people have an expectation that AAA means top notch and that isn't the case, alot of the time theres red tape and time frames that ruin the production of a decent game that could be made with a smalller team over a large timeframe and not break the bank it's once those teams team with publishers or become too big for their breaches, or the orignal developers in the company slowly quit as more greedy types worm their way in infecting and twisting the companies ideals, that they begin to have issues but even then an indie company can be just as corrupt it's just they call those scam companies!, but I feel theres a positive to all this is the new era the situation has been so garbage for so long that numerous people who play the games have gotten fed up!
This outcome has resulted in alot of gamers and disgruntled developers screwed over by major companies to take matters into their own hands it's caused a resurgence in smaller games like the old days having better quality for the times now that once again development has become more accessible, the issue is the average AAA andy who thinks AAA is the be all and end all the pinnacle of gaming not realising how in the last 5 years ago the indie scene has changed we aren't getting scraps anymore indie developers are working on a new generation of games that are single purchase games that give you the same feeling you did as a child with far better polish and development that some of these AAA studios combined!
The problem is too many people are being games snobs and wont get off their high horse to allow themselves to see the great new games out there I rummaged through steam ignored what I don't wanna see so I could find the games I do wanna see including games that are new and i've added to my library!
Buyable skins in games encourages devs to make gear you will pay better vs gear you earn, then not to mention the ones that tie stats to them. Why go slay the whatever when you can buy the fancy rainbow one for 49.99

"don't care how much skins cost, you want it you buy it, don't then don't" pretty black and white way to look at things. I think the problem lies in the way of the thought process as it encourages blizzard to add store mounts that are unique and possibly bad ass lookingbecause ppl buy them, when they could instead add it to achievement tied to a rep or boss farm. This is precily the why they add store mounts after another. It's not as cut out thing like do or don't, because in a sense it is like a gateway drug. Why putting in game to earn when they can cash out quickly by adding it to the store.
Also. "skin prices are not the problem, when there are bigger problems in the game" sounds exactly the narrowminded way to look at things I talked earlier. Why would they bother to fix their game, when they can sell overpiced skin for 20 and continue to advertise to fix their game, while it's mostly smoke and mirrors and fixing one bug out of twenty to alleviate the stress.
I just want a console where I can buy finished games that I can play offline 😂 but I always was a dreamer and not too bright

It's the SSD guys, that's what the new consoles bring to the table. Just like what DVD's and BluRays have done, with more storage and faster read/write speeds, the SSD will do the same for this gen. Soon, all games will require one. Next gen though will be all about cloud gaming, no more consoles needed, or gaming PC.
As a pvp player, people who get sad of this are the casuals who only plays in campaign or lore of the game… for us as long as the game is action combat and have PvP we good😂

This was bizarre to me. I own a PS5 and an Xbox series x and the PS5 is straight garbage.
The PS5 doesn't let me do half the stuff my Xbox does. Everything from the ps store vs the Xbox store to the UI to the game pass to the available settings options isn't even close.
Its absolutely impossible to own both consoles and honestly say out loud the ps5 is better. How? In what way? The PS5 drives me up a wall with all the stuff it DOESN'T do.
BF2042 is good game 🙂 played like 400 or more hours on it since start 😀 but i get it why boomers cry about it 😀 they changed the super slow game and made it faster 😀 and boomers cant aim right 😀
I had an Xbox One for many years until it finally gave out. Worked perfectly even if it had the occasional lag or stuttering in more more demanding games. I now have an Xbox Series X and it can handle anything perfectly. It is a miles above and beyond Xbox One, and the specs prove that. Also, Microsoft 's vision in creating Game Pass shows that they care about their fan base, as recent studies shows that people buy less games, but are able to game more, with better games. After that study, Microsoft still co tinues to offer AAA games on Game Pass. Now that takes guts to uphold their vision and I respect that and its the only subscription I religiously keep. In fact, the thought that I may not be able to renew it this month saddens me alot, so used to game pass I have become
