I use X less because the suggestion algorithm seems to push popularity of posts over actually looking at what I follow unlike it use too. So the secret is to use the 'Follow' tab rather than the 'For You'. For those who haven't figured it out since definitely clicking on posts to mute them makes X think you like that because you are actually interacting. I gave up trying to teach X how I want to discover stuff I am not already following.
